I remember another member that was bootedout by doing similar this too ,think on a lager scale..TLR..But there is another member thats been doing this too..and no one isnt complaining about..Think Jims have a rating system? when we sell stuff on ebay. we get a tracking numbers so I can tell the customer there numbers..Just to be save because theres dishonest buys out there..I'd always payed by paypal when I buy somthing.. Looks to me like he has sold a crap load of items since January when he signed up. If all you can come up with is 2 or 3 bad transactions, then you guys are pissing in the wind. That's probably about a 95% positive transaction average.

I would bet there are a lot of members here that can't touch that.

If you want to start banning people for a few bad transactions then I'm gonna start calling out the names of those that have screwed me on here as well. We'll be saying bye-bye to a few well known members.

Gerald, It would be in your best interest to fix what needs to be fixed.

I do not know how compatible, but I think that a very simple rating system would be best.

Class A. A good rating, a person that you can deal with, no reservations.

Class B. A person you can still deal with, but proceed with caution.

Class C. A person that you do not want to deal with at all.

All new boaters would automatically begin in Class B until the are proven to be reliable, then if there are no problems, they could move to Class A.

Just my thoughts.

That is the only feedback system I found. Honestly it looks to be poorly supported. I see a new person took it over and that worries me even more. If I add a module and it becomes unsupported it could corrupt our database. And then we would be screwed. Maybe a complete mini eBay for sale script is what we need. Completely separate from iw? I've been looking at this and have not found a solution.

Gives us a break already. That is a horrible track record. 3-4 bad ones since January and all in the last month. I have some water front property I'd like to sell you. That is a horrible statistic. There should be ZERO. You have a problem work it out. I can understand there might be something go bad that can't be worked out but that is nothing like what was done here.

I have sold a lot of stuff myself since January don't have the problems this guy has. I wonder why that is?

This is just a few from this year. Almost 75 laid out and over a hundred still in the stack not counting the post office style receipts from shipping from there.

Personally I honestly don't think it matters and the system you have is just fine. What good would a feedback system have done with this guy? He had transactions that went smooth.

Nobody would start out with the junk first he sold off the better stuff and then got to the junk and started ripping people off and the fact they were mostly done on the Dock then it's seems there could have been the vendetta thing going on. Who knows? He had stuff to unload and could not start out ripping people off. It doesn't matter now I imagine he got rid of most he wanted to already.

We just have to be so careful and when a persons number is up and get too trusting it can happen to anyone.

But all that aside if he were to just take care of the few people that were done under his name then there would be no more big deal. Tom I think MGB has a mini ebay,like stuff up for bids..I saw acouple of times. But I do see they have a for sale thread too..But I still think that the ones who's sells on here have a ebay account with good feed backs should be on the A list..

I would love to see a minimum post count before a person is aloud to sell anything on I.W. , maybe fifty post minimum ? They should be a part of the comunity they are selling to , that would probably keep most people honest.

I also think a simple buyer seller forum would also be great as a quick reference tool.

lets not forget that 99.9% of the people on I.W., would give the shirt of their back to help someone out and thats why this is the best site on the Net B)

As for selling me waterfront property, I already live on the water. Got a real nice dock with boat lift, fish cleaning station and everything. Three minutes by boat and I'm in Tampa Bay.
