This is the 5th straight year we have offered the Crackerbox class and it has never had enough to run the class. Actually we have no entries this year, 1 last year, and none the previous 3. Most likely that class is gone for good for this race. We have been asked to run the Sport B (20) hydro class the past 2 years and that may well replace the Crackerbox class. There are boats that will enter that class.

Everyone please check the list to see if all your boats are listed and in the proper classes. Let me know if they are not. They have not been entered into the software program yet so we have plenty of time to get them correct now.

The CMB club thanks all for your incredible support for this race. We know the racing will be excellent and hope the weather this year will be also. After last year's, we are due.

I will bring the Sport 20- B Sport Hydro I tried to enter before. I know Don Riek has one.. maybe he may want to race

Norm,

Buddy Lowe and Dick Loeb are running Sport B's in the B hydro class. Those are 2 that I know of. We just do not have a Sport B (20) class only for this year's race. That may likely change for next year.

I would like it very much if this class will be added next year John. Would give me another class to run!!

Evening John;

My entry was received by you folks on Monday morning, I don't see my name on the list's.

Could you tell me YEH or NEH, so I can get planning at work?

Thanks fellas

Rick

Rick,

Randy gets the entries, not I, and there is no info for me to post as of yet. I will call him in the morning to check on it's arrival and for the info. Yours is one of those that I expect to be among the late entries as I noted above. Will advise tomorrow. Do not expect any real problems.

Regarding the Sport B (20) hydro class - Doc Turner and Mark Bullard also have them and would add even more to potential new class for 2010. We cannot add it in this year, we are much too far into the race to do that now. Don F is right, show up with them and ask for the class AT the Oct race for next year's race. The club officers need to hear the requests and support for it. I don't have to be convinced, they do.

Entry list in post # 1 updated with Rick Bellinger. There maybe 1 remaining entry in the mail coming, if it was sent. No more entries at this moment shall be accepted as we are at 280 boats now.

Hey Joe, I see Ralph has moved from an F Mono to an E Mono this year. I hate that cause it was a blast last year listening to him wrestle that 101 around the course giggling like a girl the whole time!

;)

Hey Scott, I was looking forward to running it again this year but they needed me in the 60 to make the class. Dont worry my driving mono's hasn't improved since last year, come to think of it I haven't driven a mono since that heat your referring to. It seems I always run out of time on open water days to practice with the mono's and I think it makes more exciting to watch that way. See you their buddy.

Hey John,

Are ya'll going to let the twin gassers run?

Whats CMB thinking? Touchy subject on the 5 boat limit?

It would be cool to see how they run!!

Tim

We are trying to get more twin gas riggers to come in for the race. Randy Corbin is at the GA Gas Champs this weekend trying to recruit a couple. We need to see what happens from that effort. The club voted on a position for that class running in the race last Sunday which I cannot disclose at this moment. Time will tell. The race is 2 months away.

One real challenge for the twin rigger competition and the final race between the top 3 nitro and gas finishers is unique. Don Ferrette and Sergio Perez have entered both classes. If one or both finish in the top 3 of both classes, then they will have to pick the class they will run. No proxy running is permitted, they must personally run the boat. Then we have to drop down to get the next position filled to get the 6 boats for the final race to crown the twin rigger champion. Should be a good time for all to see.

I don't have a decent 60 Mono so I'm not in that class, but I'll definitely be standing below the drivers stand so I can enjoy listening to you! :D

If you guys need another 67 Hydro let me know ....i should be able to stir the pot a little !

Tom:

That would be good.

Joe Wiebelhaus is also a 67 hydro as is Mark and Chad Grannis from here. Not sure about others. Maybe Ralph Almirola and Joe Warren too??? I know John Knight is also in that class and FAST.
