Hey Gang

This is the current list with all changes that I have been notified of. Please check it and if you see any errors please let me know. If you only see one frequency listed and you are not on 2.4 I need a second frequency. I want to do the HEAT SHEETS by Friday so I need any changes asap.

CONTROLLED OPEN WATER will be on Thursday starting at 8am. YOU MUST BE CHECKED IN AND HAVE YOUR PACKETS PRIOR TO PUTTING YOUR BOAT IN THE WATER! I need to have everyone checked in by Thursday pm to make any correction to the CD'S heat sheets for racing to start on time Friday.

We will have 53 heats per round so this will be a fast paced race..Remember the NO MERCY rule for the pits..we will have two pit bosses in bright orange vests..you find them to check in. 1st PIT is "Hot Pit" next to go in water and 2nd will be "Get Ready". We need everyones help to keep this race moving. Everyone will have a packet with their heats. It is up to you to keep up with your own heats.

Randy Premo and Gabe Clegg will hold the Drivers meeting on Friday at 7:30am sharp.

Other Important info: When coming into the pond DRIVE SLOW. Please remember that this is someones neighborhood. Be respectfull of that. Pond address is:1673 Fern Hill Drive, Johns Island SC.

Pick up your own trash..bags will be provided in your packets. There will be a couple of dumpster on site too.

Due to the large number of drivers and trailers wE will have areas marked off to assist with the parking of trailers and tent set up. We ask that any RV's go to the back right to park. Deryl and I will be at the pond on Tuesday for the early birds to come play before open water Thursday.

I will be checking all NAMBA and IMPBA cards...please don't forget them..lol..thanks

CMB is very excited to be hosting this race and we want it to be fun as usual. ME TIME will be filming again so please be on your best behavior..or at least try..lol.

Don't forget the REDNECK POOL PARTY after the racing on Sat night.(see thread posted by Kerri with Me Time for more info on that.)

We might be adding a few more things to the important info list so check it once in a while.....can't wait to see ya'll....lets go racing!

Three additional notes:

1. Use address of 1673 Fern Hill Rd, John's Island, SC 29455, for Mapquest & GPS directions and the local weather forecasts.

2. All driving, during the open water period and the race, will be from the driver's stand ONLY. None from the launch dock, steps, or ground level - SAFETY reasons.

3. There will be a roped off area, under the tree line, for canopies ONLY. Trailers will be place behind the ropes and vehicles across the clearing. We have about 120 racers coming in, which means a lot of canopies & trailers. We must pack the canopies and trailers very tight to allow all to fit in. The trailers will be stacked several deep and no trailer ramps are permitted inside of the roped off area. This is the same procedure that we have used for past races.

Save driving to all. Remember the prime directive - HAVE FUN, and enjoy the race and the fellowship.

Very good and looking forward to the race and meeting some new faces and seeing some old ones again. Just watch the weather forecast closely using the 29455 zip code.

Update from yesterday:

The CMB club workday yesterday has the lake and grounds ready to rumble for the 2010 Fall Nationals. We have brought in a couple of truckloads of mulch and it has been spread in much of the pit and setup areas. It eliminates much of the fine black dirt that we have battled with during the race. We have moved the pit area forward and have made more room for the canopies. Grooming of the grounds has been finished. There is a roped area from the tree line back that is for canopies only. Trailers, which must be packed tight, will be behind the ropes. When the front line of trailers have been put in place, we (CMB club) will remove the ropes and stakes.

The lake is very clear and has fast water! We now have the camera in place for the starts. It fires off the clock when it hits zero and the camera takes the picture of the start which is posted to the monitor. There will be no argument of whom and what boat was over.

The weather forecast for the race is OUTSTANDING. Sunny, highs from Thurs - Sunday of mid 70's to 81. Lows are upper 50's to low 60's and light winds. Great weather for making power and very fast water.

Finally, take a good look at the list of classes and the racers that are entered in post #1 above. There are 349 boats, in 23 classes at the moment with many of the very best racers in the racing world coming. Heats of 6-8 boats each at a great facility. This race sold out in just 17 days. It is the best of the best in racing, period, the FALL NATIONALS. Watch the MeTime broadcast and you will come to realize it yourself.

The weather is going to be perfect because I believe in PRAYER! See you guys this week...this is going to be the best race of the year..also I had a question about camping. We have a clear field in back right side of pond ready for RV'S, Tents or whatever. You will see my RV there. It is a nice grassy area. Joe Tumbleson the pond owner has bent over backwards to help get this pond ready for the crowd..be sure to thank him too. jj

Don't leave those behind.. those are important. I will bring some bar stock to cut head buttons.

So are you actually gonna make it this time? :p

Yes sir .. my Lawyer is doing the final motions so I can leave the State Of Florida, I have reviewed all the local firearms laws of all the states traveled, verified age of consent laws, had Wally the Lab /Pit Bull checked out by the vet and test drove the truck at 108 miles an hour at night with the lights out. so it looks like things may happen. . I just need to stay on my medication and everything may be okay.

Once I am up there I will try to get some time to come over to the race, all depends on how high the fun factor is.

Remember...be safe, there are a lot of nuts out on those highways these days. Stay close to the phone and have a gun in your hand.

Norm,

I love your humor!!! As Marty, Rod, Randy, Otto, Hearl, Tom and the entire FL group can attest, we have FUN at our races as well as outstanding racing. You should fit in nicely. It will be great to finally meet you.
