Class miminum to run is 5 boats. If you plan on coming, do not delay in entering to reserve your slots.

More entries added to post #1. We are up to 125 boats entered. Remember the race limit is 225. Don't delay in entering if you plan on coming. If a class gets cancelled due to not having enough you will get a refund for that class.

There are several additional entries that will be listed once I get the names and classes entered. Post # 1 will be updated continously with the information and entries.

There are several classes that have NO entries to date. E/F tunnel, crackerbox, jersey skiff & gas tunnel and few for several other classes. These classes are running the risk of being cancelled before race time. There are less than 100 open boat slots available until the 225 boat limit is hit. Don't delay in entering if you plan on coming.

John, just needing to know if the new RCMK EVO is allowed in the Thunder boat

class.i'd hate to get there and then find out it was not a legal stock engine.

any-one else chime in i'd appreciate your understanding of this ruling we have,

as long as it's the right answer.thanks everyone

Mark :)

Mark,

We are following the IMPBA rules for the class. There are no special rules in place for the district so we revert to those posted on the IMPBA website for the races. Please refer to those rules for guidance. If someone else wants to give the official guidance, please do so. It will help us all.

This motor has not yet been recognized and/or approved as a legal SS motor in the IMPBA. It will be a topic of conversation between myself, the tech director and a few others very soon. All SS (and therefore T-boat) motors must be approved first before they are legal in those classes. Not saying there will be a problem but all too often people just do things on an assumption......then complain after they find they made a bad choice based on that assumption.

If I remember correctly, the RCMK isn't recognised for T-boats in NAMBA either. Only class I know of that allows that engine is gas scale out in Washington. If anyone knows of any others, please correct me on this so we will all be up to date :)

Don, let me ask this question a different way. Is this an LS engine or an XLS engine. If it is an LS engine just like a Zenoah, then what is the difference between a stock out of the box RCMK and a stock out of the box Zenoah from an SS perspective.

Simple. Every potential SS motor must be approved, it's just a formality of the rules to be followed. Regardless it doesn't change the fact that all too often people just assume something without verification and then get all bent out of shape when their assumtion was incorrect. End of story......

Looking forward to going down to Charleston again this fall. Let's hope we get some sunny weather this time. :)

Post # 1 has been updated with the entries received to date. If you have sent yours in, and is not on the list, it has not been received. We are at 151 boats towards the 225 boat entry limit. We have a 5 boat minimum to make a class and some on the list are not there yet. Once we get to the 225 boat limit, any class not meeting that 5 boat minimum stands to be cancelled. We will close classes with full heats, create no more heats in that class, and then fill up classes that have a heat that is not full. Then that class will be closed. A wait list will be made for a class in the event of a last minute cancellation.

If you plan on coming and are playing the waiting game, you may want to reconsider doing that now. All racers are welcome to join in the racing at the Fall Nationals!!

Marty,

That is great to hear also!

I updated post # 1 with another racer entries and have been notified that there are at least 7+ entries in the mail at the moment. Please do not delay in entering if you plan on coming. This race will sell out and do so before the end of August, if not sooner.

John

Just added Steve Ball, Mike Constanzo and Olly Douglas (all the way from Canada) to the list.

I have received many inquiries today from a large group of racers intending on coming to the race. Some entries are already in the way and others will be very soon. They are:

Chris Wittrig

Ralph Almirola

Tom Foley

Don Riek and 7 other Brandon Model Boaters

Marty Davis

Rod Hendricks

Norm Doerr

Mark Grannis

Chad Grannis

James Beasley

There is another group of racers from the VA & MD area that are also planning on coming. With these numbers, we will be well over 200 entries towards the 225 boat limit. If you want to come, get in your entry now to ensure your place for the Fall Nationals.

We thank all that have planned to come to this race and will strive very hard to stage the best race possible.
