Beautiful water. Would have been great to see all those records being set, 14.997, truly amazing. Congrats to all.

Great results Guys. Make sure to let the FE guys there know that there is a petition to eliminate the N stock and N superstock classes. Zuber sent me a copy of the petition.
WHY would you do that?? Are there too many people attending these events? (Asked with a boat load of sarcasm! )

Someone is going to have to explain the logic of this to me, because these classes don't hurt anyone by being retained, and provide challenges and opportunities for racers.

There is no logical or unbiased reason to do this.

And yes, I'm speaking as someone well versed in these classes, and who literally JUST finished signing up with IMPBA so I can attend the FE Nats, and with plans to bring my new N1-Hydro with me to an IMPBA SAW event.

It hurts no one to maintain these classes, and these opportunities, for SAW and Time-trials.

"It hurts no one to maintain these classes, and these opportunities, for SAW and Time-trials."

You're absolutely right, and I'm certain the BOD will see the proposal in the same light,

Relax fellas, it's going to be ok.

Well friends, SpeedWeek 2018 is now complete! I think this was the best one ever!

There is no way I can express my gratitude for all the help I’ve had and all the people who provided it! There are a couple of folks that I need to give special thanks to:

My lovely wife Donna for putting up with me and all the time I spend on the event. And for making incredible lunches for us!

John Beardslee for being here the entire time just to help me! And for the nice donation to help cover cost!

David Hall for driving hours from his home to bring me the timing equipment.

Jason OBrien for the awesome film footage.

We ended up with 16 new record applications...seems like every year I think things can’t get much faster and every year they do!

Thanks again to everyone who participated! See y’all here again for SpeedWeek 2019 ( God willing of course)!

Here is a fun pic of Donna who is the fastest woman boater in the world (86+ mph) and Max Halbrehder as the youngest record holder. If either of these statements are wrong please let me know!

Hey Brian, get it right, "Running twins and a .12 rigger were true signs of insantity".

Say hi to your folks for me. (Brian's dad was one of my students, boy does that make me feel old)

Thanks, John

Thanks for having me, you'll probably have to retrain me next year so I'll plan to get there early and spent the duration like this year. A special thanks to you and Donna for hosting this legendary event! Glad to have been there to help and experience the real deal!

John

Thank you Donna. Glenn. And John. Thanks for spending so much of your time so we could run our boats. Great to be there!

Looking forward to next year.

A really great event and lots of great fellow boaters doing different things. Glad I was able to make it again. Thanks again!!!

Many thanks to Glenn, Donna, and John for putting on the event!

We thoroughly enjoyed it (even though we broke pretty much EVERYTHING we brought with us and I spent entirely too much time in the retrieve boat).

Definitely some fast boats in attendance and a nice mix of Gas, Nitro, and Electrics!

Hopefully we will be back again in 2018!

Thanks,

Lamar

A sincere thanks to Glenn & Donna for another great Speed Week at Blue Lake.

They put so much energy and hard work into the time trials and we just cannot

ever thank them enough. It is always a pleasure spending time there regardless

of how well we do on setting new records. Thanks also to John Beardslee who was

tireless while assisting Glenn with the times, teching and keeping the timing

lights always working.

I want to congratulate everyone who set new records too.....there were 16 total

making this another very good year for record totals.

The comradery between everyone who attended was great......such a good group of racers.

My son Fede and I are looking forward already to next years Speed Week.

Donna, Glenn and John a BIG thank you for putting on this event. Always great to see the speed addicted boaters at events and even better to take home a couple new records. I will be back next year and hopefully have the Q and P hydro;'s sorted to make a run for the in the 15 second times.

I had the GoPro posted on the driver bridge Thursday and will upload some of the videos I took when more time allows. I did manage to mount the camera on the front of my heat racing 6 cell hydro Sunday and got some spectacular footage on Sunday waiting for the wind to die down.

The best run was with a 2219 new ABC prop clicking off 9 second laps in lane 3-5. Turn up the sound and enjoy.

Thanks for doing this!

Did you notice how the right sponson is almost completely out of the water down the straights? Especially for the last run?

Normally I would say that's a bad thing the turn fin is lifting so much, but it actually smooths out the ride becoming a hydrofoil. And it still turns consistently in the turns.

I thought about putting the camera on the time trial hydro which is considerably quicker.
