Fabrice, the videos of your boats are fantastic! Have you put a GPS in any of your cats to get a speed reading?

I'm still very interested in building one of your boats. Do you think that magazine that you sold the plans to will sell those plans???

Danny

Thanks dannyual767 and Andy.

Danny, of course the plans will be sold, next june the magazine should sell it. And yes for the GPS, the big cat was running @ 80-85 km/h on this video (my best run gave 89 km/h) with a 1455 prop and the twin is @ 70km/h with K48 props. I'm waiting for bigger ones, X448, Y447, S230 to improve it! I also bought 2.1/3 and X455 for the big cat, in fact I would like to be @ 100km/h with it.

Andy, should I understand I have to stop this thread? :D

I think it's interesting to show you the improvments of this settings, and I would like to show you this home designed hull can be very competitive.

If your are ok with it, I could continue to post some videos of it.

P.S. : i'm still interesting to visit you with my plans in the pocket in Florida, or you could come here to visit us!

Fabrice, this is a great thread and I really enjoy watching your progress in your videos as your twin cat gets faster and faster.

Your big cat is running 89kph=55mph. I think that is a very respectable speed. 100kph=62mph.

Danny

I've got a question about your big cat: how much does it weigh? How much does your twin cat weigh?

Hi there,

Here is the last video I made, with two X445 props and 30% nitro fuel.

http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZUDq_DAwuE

Starts to be fast, so fun to run such a boat!! A lot of pleasure even if it was hard to set, it worthed it! Speed is 50 mph.

I tried others props, S230 are little too big, S225 should be better, Y547 are far to big and I didn't try the X448 I also have.

To be continued...

With 2 props in the water you should be able to run more pitch, say 642 or 645's.

But regardless, that is a work of art!

That's the props I wonder try, but I don't have them yet, I'm going to buy some.

I think I will try 2 S225 / 2 X645

Thanks a lot JSCARPINO !

Last video, testing props I had, Grimracer 45*66 and prather S230. Last one are a little too big, but the grim's are running very well, as better as the X445.

Nice day today, 7 am at the pond, blue and hit water, sunny, but some swimming guys.. enjoy!
