I am getting ready to replace the bearings in a K&B .21 outboard that I have had for a while. Should be no issue with the motor bearings but I have never tackled the pto bearings before. It actually looks like there is a collar on the the bottom of the shaft. Any ideas?

She runs great down the straights but doesn't like to turn. I come off the throttle a bit going in and then accelerate through and out of the turn but the turning radius is too wide. I don't know how I did it but I seem to have messed up the thread in the lower unit. Anyone know what type of tap I would need to try and clean the threads up ? Should I just buy another lower part with the threads in it?

Where do you get the rubber caps to cover the carb when the boat is not in use? I have checked at the local HD and they don't have any big enough.

These boats seem to be great to build and even more fun to run. Why would you (or did you :) ) choose the .12 or .21?
