Interesting ideas you are proposing Lohring... I just have to mention that Joerg M. has no air trap sponsons nor shingles on his boats and it seems to have worked out well (140+mph), he was riding on a "cushion of air". Wouldn't the air traps create too much pressure, thus lift, to the sponsons...

that is a very cool idea!!! a couple of things occurred to me while looking at the sketch you made, It might be better if your legs go over the driving cables in case of a flip over, you may get slashed, tangled, burned or all of the above. Also, what is the throttle going to be? Trigger...

Thanks Lohring and Phil, I know Phil has the Lobster, I went to his website many times to check her out. I just don't have that kind of RC allocated money... very unfortunately, hens checking out other options. This hull is one of the nicest hull IMO... I never get tired of staring at her.
