OK thanks Check the 08 internats intro, there is a highlight of the scales racing. My red Timex U8 is in there. You have to view different days to find the scale hydros, they didnt index anything. They did a better job on later races.

Here is the first consolation race from the 2009 1/8 hydro northwest championships...

I think we cannot leave our friends down under out of this since one of them has a very stable and fast Hydro... check it out...

It looked good until it did it's impression of a flying sub. Did he lose anything, such as batteries, or did he get everything back?

Hi Hydro Junki, I got everything back and the boat was made of carbon fibre so withstood that crash quite well. Actually ran it again a few weeks later. 80 mph is not bad for a 22lb boat running on NiMh 3300 mAh batteries. :p

Hi George,

The boat was built in Germany from Roger Newton plans by Chritian Tonn for Osvin Manojlovic, who I bought it from. :p

It features on some German websites, here is one http://www.e-powerboat.de B)

Merv, good to hear from ya again!

Last time we spoke it was on the "blue forum", when I first saw the video of that hydro of yours...
