I ran a 22" Tornado 20 years ago on 6 and 8 nickel cells. It is not and never was appropriate for high voltage, the AstroFlight equipment won't even fit properly. It would make a great N-2 hydro with a Feigao 8L motor and x438 prop, very fast. This thread almost makes me want to drag out the old Graupner and put a 2S system into it!

Hey William!

I would think you could use a Fiegao 380 8L,an ETTI Navy 70 esc and a 2S 2200 to 2400 lipo (with at least 25C rating)...Just one of many suggestions......

If you need an 8L motor I have a NIB Feigao... waiting for it's new owner.. maybe in a Tornado Rigger.

PM me if you are interested...

I'd suggest a 120amp ESC for it.
