Im sorry, I thought you were part of the Huntsville Club.


Any IMPBA member just needs to submit a proposal with 5 Signatures and get it to IMPBA office for Single F, thats the first step.

Brad I am a member of the Huntsville club but don’t have much input.

Check with MB or MG about adding single F. It has been-ran in the past as a special event after all the US-1 heat racing was completed.

Mike, F hydro historically was a SINGLE CLASS. Only in the last 10-12 years did twins that fit in displacement were able to run with the single F boats.

I was musing and I was wondering whether a boat should be able to get 2 US-1’s. Sport 20/40 and the same boats run 20/40 hydro. F hydro twin and twin class, when the other classes of hydro and mono are not able to do likewise?

It is a conundrum. I don’t have an opinion either way. It is something to consider maybe OR MAYBE NOT.

Doc, people were running twins in F class in the 70’s, 80’s & 90’s, me included.

US-1: Many have requested it over the last 5 years. Last night the IMPBA board added B Sport Tunnel and Sport-20 hydro to the list of US-1 classes, (It is a trial bases until voted on by the membership). What this means is for the first time in IMPBA history you will be able to run your B sport tunnel and S-20 for US-1 at the 2022 IMPBA Inter Nats.

There will be a F Single Hydro class at the Internats as a specialty class. In the setup for the entries and flyer it was pushed out of the list in the setup by accident. It should be in RC racingevents later on today and in the race flyer. We are also looking at another specialty class since B Sport Tunnel and Sport 20 Hydro has made the field.

If a class does not make us1 will you still allow class to run heat racing?

Pete I'f the class boat count does not meet the requirements for US1 it has always been allowed to run in the past for heat racing . However to clarify and make sure. I would suggest to call or contact Rick Grim to make an official ruling. He is the CD.

Will that same class rotation be used for the time trials?

Do you have to win all 3 segments to be awarded US1?
If not, what is the formula used to determine US1 winner?

You take 50% of your heat racing score
and 25% of your straightaway and 25% of your oval score
highest total for each class is US-1
