There is no need to vote. After the last race why would do it any other way. That was the most fun I have ever had racing model boats. I think we should try a heat in stock 20 to see how it goes.

Weekend of 10/27-10/28 sounds great. Should be much cooler by then. We are watching the progress and looking forward to further details.... ;)

We got a few other ideas in the works too- why not, The STORM races where always a blast - time to have some fun again............

I'm hoping with everyone's input on dates we can all work together to make a decent turnout.

One way or another- You miss it, you missed a bunch of fun, Just ask anyone that has run Tri-Oval at Brandon B) B) B)

I wont even mention LeMans start Mod VP

I'm thinking thats a pretty firm date - Unless someone else see's a conflict I'm missing ???

Would really like to keep it near 10 classes and NOT exclude anyone- Gas-F/E -Nitro . So the F/E classes may need a little tweeking- but if enough interest is shown- classes (tunnel only) may be added, thats not in stone. Once again, this one is about having fun so- lets hear it ?

Mr. Junker, you are missing the point of Team Chrysler. It's retro and it is the humiliation of Team Merc getting beat by Chrysler. When I was very little and before you were born I saw a Chrysler stacker win more than one race. Was rare but did happen. Besides, the way lifesize boat racing is going we will all appreciate those vintage race boats no matter what brand it was. ;)

Make it happen guys I am in. One suggestion, how about a one heat ladies and/or kids shootout. Limit it to 20 size engines, any hull.

Andy,

I hope this will become an anual event as Brandon is the tunnel capital. The STORM format worked and everyone likes the tri-oval and Lemans starts. FE could easily adapt to the Lemans start, maybe starting a trend. The start of heats later on Saturday gives people a chance to drive, getting up early and only need one night lodging. It also accomodates a larger entry field and 1 1/2 to 2 rounds could run on Saturday. Having 5 heats is a draw for me and I know others who travel like more racing for their investment. Oct 27-28 works without any SE race conflicts and much better than August heat.

As for cutting some classes in FE you could get by with 2. Spec and a P-Q combined. I could even see a 5 cell max class which would equalize a P & Q. Then Q's could go to 6S and fast P's can run in open which never fills out at Brandon historically. Have to see what the FE crowd wants here.

I don't think help is an obstacle here as we all want another tunnel event in Florida. The Brandon club could make it a nice tribute to Herb Stewart also.

Boogerty Boogers lets get racin.

Thank you Mic- basically the stuff I was looking for. The only reason I considered 1 round on Sat and 4 on Sunday- with a dump round/ was to cover anyone that may not be able to make it Sat and only Sunday. Fair shake for all ;) I'm liking the direction this is going, and its my full intention to foster it to reality- with a little help from my friends. At this point , this race is ON ...............Lots of little details to make it a great experience for all, but we have plenty of time, the ground work has been laid. I like F/E LeMans starts btw B)

Would like some input from the F/E guys and who may like to attend- guess its time to dust off the RumRunner password and see who else wants to play in F/E . Would really like to make it 10 classes max. And thats an area I could use little help from.

Andy

PS Mic- a local get together at Brandon is still NOT out of the question FOR AUGUST- ITS AN OPEN MONTH - big test and tune warmup ;)

Andy,

You could start with the list I posted and I'm sure as you get closer you will end up dropping some of them from the list, especially if you have a 4 or 5 boat minimum per class.

Since it will be a format -

The Classes set in stone are as follows.

A-Stock

A-Mod

B-Stock

B-Mod

ModVP

Open ?

Gas

Leaves ( 3 F/E classes)

Kneeler could easily be added with shown interest . Ten classes is the number - but can be changed with interest- just dont drag me out here.... ;)

Lets here what you F/E guys want- I gave ya 3 classes B)

Coming down to what looks to be an nice trophy for a " Challenge Format " -

Will require 2 highest scores overall (5 rounds) from any of the offered classes - for an overall challenge winner/ ties will be determined by your 2 Lap timed Oval results- fastest person wins / should you choose to run them on Sat in the given time frames.Gonna need your help with stopwatches and hands Mic ????

There will be One Trophy to that winner -

" The Herb Stewart Memorial Challenge Trophy" .

Your 2 classes will be determined either on the entry or at check in- working on that.

Individual class awards will be determined on boat count as we get closer.

Kicking around the " The Herb Stewart Memorial Challenge " ???

Lets here it guys and gals- its YOUR RACE B)

Having Herb's name on a fun and competitive outboard race at one of the best race sites around would be quite fitting. Now if we could get Beasley to show up the boat count would go up considerably!

Rally em up Mark- this one is gonna happen and we are gonna have a blast-

I think we have something really fun in the works- Some of the BEST racing I have been part of was in the STORM series at Brandon.

Lets continue the legacy- two fold ;)
