Ok-I'm preparing to build a RC Marine Designs T5 and have some questions about which materials to use for various parts of it. So here goes:

1.Radio Box Seals-Bru-line #100 or another manufacturer? I'd like some nice effective seals for the radio box, I was also told G+M Models makes them but I've been unable to find them online. Can someone suggest a nice radio box linkage seal?

2.Rudder Linkage/Throttle Linkage-SIG #SH654 or one of Dave Brown's? Would carbon fiber be better than a metal linkage? Any suggestions here would be helpful. What would be best to hook up the throttle with? Would be standard clevis be better or should I use the ball type that snap on?

Props-here is a list of props (all Octura) X455/3, X457, X457/3, X460, X462

Can someone narrow it down to maybe one or two that would be best? I'll be running a CMB 67 Greenhead engine but I'm not sure which pipe yet.

Pipes-I've asked around a bit but I like to try and get as much input as possible, so what would be your guys' suggestions?

Header-10 degree header is what I should be using, is this a seperate piece than what is on the engine itself? If so, can someone suggest where to get one? Thanks.

Stuffing Tube-Not sure how long of one I'll need but where can I get these?

I run a a x457 x2 ab pipe at 11 1/8 and id consider doing a transom exhaust if i were you.

I will be doing a transom exhaust for sure, I don't want the pipe or bracket visible coming out of the turbine. I'm gonna pick up a couple props to start with, I just wanted to narrow the list down a bit. Thanks for the replies, looks like I have some orders to do!

1...bruline or dubro

2...carbon fiber by central hobbies... http://www.greathobbies.com/productinfo/?prod_id=CNHPRS36T4

3...X-455/3

4...AB 67 or muck 11cc nitro (not made anymore)

5...10 degree

6...K&S tubing in 36" lengths
So I need K&S Round Brass Tube 1/4 x 36"? (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXR872&P=SM)
I have rudder, strut, push rod seals, stuffing tube. Get an arrow from Dicks and two 4-40 rods with the 1" of thread. I will show you how to do it.

duck,

The carbon fiber push rods don't state how long they are, if you've used them, could you let me know the legnth

Rick
The central hobbies shafts are 36" long. I use them all the time in my boats as well as my stunt aircraft. You can also just find an arrowshaft and jb weld some 440 rods in the end. I prefer the titanium ends with the central hobbies kit.

OK Chris I have your boat done and will get it packed up. Made up the saltwater scoop for it too. Fits the airscoop real nice. I will make a mold of it and send it soon.

Did I send you the hardware list?? All the stuff you need is in the list and where to get it. Be sure to get 1/4 cable shaft not 3/16.

here are some pictures of the new saltwater scoop.

Thanks Phil, I got the tank from Walt, the turn fin from Dick Tyndall, and most of the hardware from Speedmaster.
