Talked to another sister, she will take the kids for the 14th. With this, we are open for both the 13th and 14th.. Why take the other half shopping for shoes? Do what I do with mine, buy her a boat! ;D Guess that can be a problem also.. Not that this hobby is cheap, but in my case, when you buy one, might as well buy two.. To us, it won't matter where or when, just let us know.

I would LOVE to get her a boat, she dont care about it, hates the smell. LOL She kinda has a boat, i say its HERS, but sence she dont like it, I will just have to run it.

We're on our own. Not a sanctioned Pond. If you want to come to Kalamazoo, I have an alternate site that has a restroom, playground and picnic area right here. I've got retrieve boats so that's no problem. If there is a good place towards Coldwater we can go there.

Like Ron said, cards won't do any good anyway. I don't even have one yet. So lets make it Saturday then. it defently looks like it will work out the best for most of us.

Did we want to do a pot luck picnic thing? if we do, then we should get together around 10 to 11ish I think. what does everyon eles think, picnic, or no picnic. how about 1:00 if we don't do a picnic?

I don't care where we do it. Somebody name a place and time and I'll do my best to be there. I'll squeeze all the boats that I can in the truck. Got the trailer if needed. Kalamazoo, fine. If you want to meet here, I can give everyone directions. Grand Rapids is cool too. Coldwater, Road Trip! Not really that far. Hey, we could invade Chicago for all I care! ;D Maybe we can get some of the Windy City guys to come over. Big Ole impromptu boat race.

Ron, since you know of a site that has all the things (restrooms, pinic area, etc) let's go there.... That way you won't have to drag the retrieval boat around too far... Unless the RB is already at that site, which would make it even better!

Riverside Park has the same things as well. picnic area, rest rooms, etc, but then Ron does have a more central location. :-

it is only about 45 min drive for me. either way. but it is defently on Saturday at Kalamazoo then?

I'd love to come up...but it's a bit far on this short notice. Vacations have to be approved 120 days before. (I'm taking mine in August--the first three weeks! Might be able to do something like this then.)

120 day notice! WOW, I only need 30 days, & some times, I have been able to get one approved within 2 weeks! Maybe we can plan on an official Intlwaters get together to run boats & just hang out for a weekend! That would be really cool. Where would we want to hold it so the majority could attend?

and coldwater has water, but them BIG boats make BIG waves and the LITTLE boats dont like the BIG waves.

there is a little lake just fishermen go on, need to check it out, and see what **** is in the water and what not.

is this just N boats, or gassers tooo???

Hey Toni, I would definately like to come out check these guys out. Sounds like like a good weekend for it too, light wind, partly sunny and around 70. I have been down in the "D" gamblimg and to the clubs several times, I only about 45 minutes away, but I am not familiar with belle isle, could I get some more detailed directions as to where this is going to be at. I appreciate it. Bryan

Heh E-Racing:

Belle Isle Park is off of Jefferson Avenue (8 lane road) and the race is held on Blue Heron Lagoon pond. There is a series of ponds on the park once you cross the bridge onto Belle Isle just follow the main road bearing left (It circles the park). The area near Belle Isle is a little rough around the edges but the park is nice. If you are familiar with the Casinos you are only about 10 minutes away. From the Casinos you will be heading East on Jefferson. If you need some more info send me an email [email protected] and I can hook you up with one of the OWMBC club members for some serious directions from wherever your coming from.. TJ
