Mark and I plan to be there. Some of the best times we have had racing have been LA. Will be bringing the "FLEET" 20 hydro and up to TWINS. Carlos, It would be great to put together a list of LOCAL resturants in the immediate area. Is there a specific Motel/Hotel identified or reserved for the racers?

Tony,I think we would like to keep this an all Nitro race to keep it pure to the name.

Guys,

if you are planning on coming to this race it is starting to be time to get those entries in so we know how many trophies we need and how to plan the race.

Thanks for all of your help.

Carlo

C'mon guys let's get the entries in. I know there is Hobart, Evansville, and the Fall Nats coming up but the VooDoo Club needs you to get entered. They have an awesome site and are no strangers to hosting great races. The French Quarter is only 1/2 hour away from the pond so there is plenty more stuff to do around the area.

I just got off the phone with Chris Rupley and he told me the boat count is only in the mid 40's. The VooDoo club needs at least 125 boats to break even so for those planning to go to this year's Nitro Nats you need to get your entries in now. They are seriously considering canceling the event if they don't see a dramatic increase in entries by the end of the month. :(

I hope the best for you nitro people nice to see gas guys so involved in getting this event together!!

Well folks it has become painfully apparent after getting off the phone with the IMPBA President that this event is not going to happen. The boat count has not increased whatsoever and the decision was passed down to me to pull the plug so sadly the 2013 Nitro Nats is cancelled effective immediately. There was some consideration to wait until September 30th but that might cut things too close for those needing to cancel and get refunded on hotels, etc. This is most unfortunate but we would like to thank the VooDoo club for stepping up and offering to host the event, hopefully we will have better results next year.

Refunds will be sent out this week for entries and sponsors.
