4th Annual Melbourne Superboat Shootout - 2023

Space Coast Rudder Busters Model Boat Club proudly presents the 4th Annual Melbourne Superboat Shootout being held in Melbourne, FL Open water Feb 16th, Race Dates are Feb 17-19. The Melbourne Superboat Shootout has quickly become one of the most competitive events in all of R/C boating. The Melbourne facility is one of the fastest ponds in the South with some of the fastest boats and greatest drivers from around the world. Mark those calendars for this race and come down and enjoy a weekend of fun and awesome boat racing! Race site has plenty of pit space and parking for large trailers and motor homes. A local Food vendor will be onsite for breakfast and lunch each day offering a full menu with daily specials. Our annual Saturday night party including a catered dinner for the racers. All this included with each race entry. This race will be NAMBA sanctioned and will offer GX Gas, Open, FE and Nitro classes for each hull type as well as several specialty classes.

Race entries will open on December 1st at 6:00PM (EASTERN TIME)!!!!
* 5112 Eau Gallie Blvd. W Melbourne, FL 32934
* 275 boat limit with (5) boat minimum to make a class
* 4 complete rounds of racing, Shootout format with previous round finishing position to determining the next round heats
* Superboat Class will have a max gas engine displacement of 64cc and Hulls will be 55”-60” in length as per NAMBA rules.
* Total points of all 4 rounds will determine the final finishing positions (EXCLUDING SUPERBOAT)
* Superboat will have a 5th round “WINNER TAKE ALL” Final with Amazing prizes and a huge trophy for bragging rights!!
* Driver’s meeting at 7:30am each day
* 2:00 minute mill clock with FULL Mill Only
* Camera Starts with Start line will be used for accuracy
* All stock Zenoah G260 motors subject to tear down inspection per NAMBA rules
* P-Limited motors limited to a max dimension of 36.5mm x 56.5mm not including water jacket
* Awards given for 1st-3rd place
* Event CD’s: Dan Hermes, Some of my other boyz will help out as well hopefully (TBA as recruiting in process).
* Entry fee: $25 and $15 for each class entered.
