Building A Flowmeter???

Hey guys,

Got this wild notion to build my own flowmeter. It doesn't appear to be a complex piece of equipment. However it does seem to be a very valuable tool. So if anyone can point me in the direction of where to get parts, and maybe some instructional help that would be great. I looked at granger and I wasn't able to find guages like I have seen.
