Well gonna have to deal with the tunnel mafia with 'old reliable" since my latest iron blew up yesterday, with less than 20 laps on it. Hopefully we will have good weather and a great run. :p

I am planning on being there if my wife lets me go on EASTER (just wondering of anyone else noticed) weekend. Someone has to give Mike Z competition.

Ritchie,,

I thought I had that checked off and cleared and I guess I missed it. My wife will not be happy either but we have a lot of PR already done and the upcoming edition of the RC Boat Modeler mag will feature the past March race. And the article includes the date of next year's race and the deadline has passed for changes. We shall have to live with it.

I'll be bringing the eggs, Sunday will be the egg hunt, right after the tadpole stew breakfast, Entries for the egg hunt we be determined by the scoring of saturday's heats, So don't forget your baskets boys!!!!

Think about this. The biggest and best lifesize tunnel boat race (also called the World Outboard Championship) was always held the same weekend every year at Lake Havasu Arizona.....Thanksgiving weekend. That race was the granddaddy of them all. This one will be too. ;)

When it's over this will be one weekend the tunnel mafia will want to forget.

Gabe, It's great to see the support growing for our cause. Shame about losing the site (Walterboro), but look forward to different water. One suggestion: Modify Saturday Nite's menu, or get more port-a-jons, and make sure Bobby can't get away from capturing this one on disc. Good JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Premo

PS. MOB RULES... You'll Understand why...............

Hey Guys, yep, I guess Easter it is.

Randy, We didnt loose the Walterboro site, we still have access to it. This site is better and nicer, so we moved to it. We listened to what you guys had to say at this past race and are using that as our guidelines/goals for this year. Good info for sure.

Looking forward to battling it out with the mafia, bringing a few guns of our own :)

Seriously, James won't go drinking with Aussies anymore!

Theres some very quick OBs here in Oz that I'm sure would do very well over there.

Aussie guys, maybe you should look at getting a team together for another Oz assault (maybe approach the AMPBA for a little assistance). Even if it takes a couple of years to save for, racing in the US is a great experience.

Sounds like theres a good story behind that one!!! aye james??

Sounds like fun to me grub! :p

Nah Justin, I just wont go drinking with Wild Bill, and Winks. The others I am ok with. Those guys have a brewery for a liver.

Thanks for bringing up one of the worst hangovers of my life. I tried to put it behind me. :)

There is plenty of time to plan an Aussie assult. I assure you it wont be a cakewalk, but it will be good competition. Someone has got to take the back to back championship away from Zaborowski in B tunnel. There cant be any "3 peats".

Come on over guys, we'd love to have you.

I know you guys have to know what this is going to do for the turn out and I personaly have a problem running on easter. That thanks giving day race is a thing in the past and yeah I too heard that it used to be a large turn out and lets face it most of us would much rather be racing than spending time with our familys. But to have a race on Easter sunday does not seem right. And as far as the dead line being passed to change the date is bolognay. If I am not mistaken you have to have your sanctioning in by the end of January I COULD BE WRONG. I do not think you guys have that much time and money invested yet that you could not change the date I mean I talked with a senior Nextel cup official that happens to be my boss and they don't even race on easter. So I personally think you guys need to rethink the dates there will still be plenty of time for the over sea racers to make reservations. If there are other that think the same way PLEASE chime in so the CMB club can do what they have to do to fix the date.

I kinda feel the same way. I assure you guys we didnt realize it!

There is no deadline persay, John was refering to the announcement in RC boat Modeler magazine. Its just the fact that it has been announced already. I also think its just a matter of changing the date and re announcing it. I dont think anyone has done anything that couldnt be changed at this point as far as getting ready for the race, I mean it is almost a year away still. We will have to make sure that everyone knows about the change, and I dont think thats too hard?

What do you guys say?

~James
