also, run in a bigger loop. And only try and make right turns... You will need more space to run that bad boy when it comes on the pipe. Its very close to coming on the pipe. Once it does, watch out. Its going to run!!!

something else to think about when trimming an outboard. the prop will want to run at the same height in relation to the water. so, raising the motor will cause the prop to want to find it's "happy" level to the water again, causing the back of the boat to lower & raising the bow. raising the motor will need more weight in the nose. our props run partially out of the water, they are "surfacing" or surface piercing props. they will always TRY to run at the same height in relation the the water. that is why raising or lowering the motor will affect ride attitude. i would run the motor as close to 0 degree trim, & trim with motor height & weight. but, you will need to run the motor high enough to let the motor SING.

wieght is key here buddy its gonna help i promise..just like robin said,,, listen to him... ;) ...i run 7 1/2 oz. on the nose of my htb 290..

also like rodney said,, try and run a large oval..in this large oval add slight right rudder input and see if it stays o the pipe...that slight rudder input will agitate the water before it enters the prop freeing it up slightly.. its a just for instance thing... if it free's up and revs, which i beleive it will, you know you need more cavitation(less load)...

Well....... hit the HI note today!!!!! She was a flying!!!!! Just more weight and some minor adjustments and she just might turn that fast also... I will have a new video up in a bit!!!!

Kroggs, REAL close my friend, REAL close. She will pipe up even a little more then that :D How is the plug? Looks like it might use another click or 2 in on the needle. lean it out just a hair more and that baby is going to SCREAM! Is it falling off in the corner by itself, or are you doing that? Also, might raise the prop up just a tad bit more if its falling off by itself in the corners.

Water was a bit choppy so that was me droping her in the corner.... I put 4oz. of weight on her and going to need more If I don't let out of it in the corner she barely wants to turn, just goes straight...

I have been keeping her rich and actually went richer then last nights runs for fear of getting to lean and the now the prop being higher and flater... When I first started the run just like Alden said,,, it started with chugging and then KABOOM she started flying after she warmed up!!!! But now that I'm close to what it should be doing I will lean her out a bit!!!! But the real prob is I have no idea were the low speed is supposed to be at..... I saw the barrel and low speed needle go flying out and she leaned out real quick... Had no control of the throtle and and she she went wide open and took off like a fighter jet in the sky.... Got lucky again and Gadjet was floating by the boat, but the barrel is at the bottom of the lake........ So now I waite till I can get one on order.... Anyone got one????

Thanks Alden, and all others that have given me direction and input on what to do or I would still be lost!!!! Thanks, Kevin

oh man,,seriously? that sucks...how the hell did that barrel come out/off the cable?? the barrel screw was blue loctited in there...thats strange..never seen that before...that sucks the big one man... look on towers sight but im not sure they sell just the barrel..you would need the barrel,,low speed needle, the brass nut that holds the arm to the barrel and the barrel keeper/ guide screw...hate to this but it might be cheaper to buy a whole carb...

i cant see the video (im on my phone) but ill have a look shortly...sorry to hear of your mis fortune today buddy...

kevin, drill a small hole in the pipe near the outlet to attach a fishing leader to. snap swivel goes to the hole in the pipe, other end attached to one of the motor mount bolts. get the shortest leader you can, no cutting or shortening, or LOST PIPES B) .

oh ya,,i can give you a needke setting that will get you very close.... the whole not seeming to want to turn is common with speed on the tt..there is very little in the water to get it to turn...but beleive it or not...it will eventually turn and turn good...use the pin angle to get the boat to nose down a hair when rudder input is applied and it will quicken the settling down to turn process...trust me just when u think its not gonna turn,,it will...just keep laying rudder into it till it does...

robin has a very good idea there...is the pipe actually sliding out of the holder at the stinger??? or just popping off at the header?? also to prevent loss of the throttle (and in your case would have saved the barrel) take one of them brass control horns with the allen screw like whats on the pipe mount wire..drill a hole big enough in the throttle arm so the bolt can go through,,,slide the bolt (may have to be a touch longer) through the arm from the backside,,,then slide your brass control horn on your throttle cable and screw the whole deal together using blue loctite..be sure when the bolt is tightened down on the cable that the control arm can pivot freely....hope you understand this jibberish,,,if you dont i can post a pic...

By the way how the heck fast do ya think that was going.... Not sure I want it to go any faster.....!!!!!!
