I have a Hyperion 1210i charger. I balance the packs with the Hyperion LBA 10 balancer. I charge my packs at 1C. It's a great charger. The newer Hyperion chargers have built in balancers.

Darin, The boat without hardware is 2 lbs. I'm not sure either if it will work with an SV27 motor. But I will still give it a try. The boat is built per the plans at 32 inches. If it doesn't work for the spec class, I know it will work for P Offshore with my NEU motor. Jay
