What I saw in Las Vegas!

I competed in a boat race in Las Vegas it was a nice place to race and the people are nice, this is the second dist. points race I have been to, I noticed some things while I was there.

There are alot of MAC motors, last year me and a couple other guys had MAC motors, this year very few people didn't have MAC's

The .45 hydro's seem to be the fastest boats.

There are alot of Eagle/SG and SGX hydros,

But a well setup boat can win, this older .21 hydro with a MAC and a h5 was fastest around the coarse.

A MAC/lawless outboard on a Villain is scary.

If your real nice to the race director and help out the scoring lady they just might give you one of these.

Some of the racing would have been interesting with all those wood finish SG's on the water at the same time! Must have been fun working out which boats were which! :-

Beautiful site! you teased me with the subject, I thought that maybe you saw the original Hammerhead .12 there! Still nice pix though.

My CF .21 was fast, I got a 2nd a 1st, and a DNF ( running all by myself with all other boats dead on the coarse, I hit a bouy) ended up with 3rd in A-hydro.

I got a 3rd in OPC A outboard with my OS topspeed.

I got first in X-hydro by default, the only other X didn't race. They gave me the plaque but the boat never hit the water.

It was fun to have boats a little different, people didn't think the CF was real. Just fancy paint job or something.

I also had the only OS outboard.

On behave of all the nitro boaters here in Las Vegas I would like to thank all of the people who came to hang out, inquire and participate in the races here. We have a great pond here at sunset park and would like for others boaters to come out and enjoy it right alone with us. So the next time you plan a Las Vegas trip do not forget your toys at home "lets get wet"
