Hey Gang,

Has anyone seen the inside of an abs Top Speed tunnel. I know there is some flotation in there, but, is there a wood framework? I have a new one, like many others it has a slight twist. I think they were trimmed/glued crooked. Out of curiosity was the designer Wade Doughtrey (sp?). Thanks for any info.

I had owned a TS 1 and from my experience and input from other owners (3-4 years ago) twisting was not uncommon. I found the twist fairly easy to remove (or add) in the summer. When you transprt or store the TS1 don't let it sit in direct sunlight or in the trunk of a hot car. The hull will warp as it tries to conform to what it's resting on. My advice to remove the twist would be to clamp the hull with a slight twist in the opposit directin and pop it in your car for a couple hours (windows rolled up). Take it out of the car (leaving it clamped) and let it cool in the shade.

This has taken care of most twists I've encountered with a TS1.

p.s. this is not a permanent fix for the twist.
