Hi Guy´s,

Someone it knows as balancing the crank shaft? ;D

In an article, I read about this and a crank shaft quite balanced signifies more RPM´s.

how it is done? ???

one must take into account the connecting rod? ???

Hola Gatt,

You cannot actually balance a single cylinder engine - at best all you can do is reduce it's dynamic inbalance. :p

Even K&B tried this on their 7.5cc with the heavy metal slug in the crank. Most manufacturers have given up trying on single cylinders.

A physics professor once said:

If you think you can balance a single cylinder engine with a piston and wristpin moving in a linear fashion, and a conrod with a CG that moves in an ellipse and a rotating central crankshaft:

You’ve been smoking crack

Or you're not obeying the laws of physics......you decide
