Radio conversion

Anyone on here ever converted and old transmitter to 2.4gh? Lot's of kits available for conversion. Just curios if it's worthwhile.

I have for my 1/10 buggy. I been running the 3PJS for years. I just got the receiver/module kit and plugged it in. Love it. Wish I could do the same with the boats. Just not enough cash laying around for that. I would need about 1000 for that. The 75 band stuff works just fine and it seems that there are less and less people on my channel lately.
