I have an old Futaba S3104 servo. Haven't used it in a while, it was working when I took it out a boat I sold. Hooked it up after its been sitting for a couple of years, but it still works. How long does a servo last? Until it fails ??? I would like to use it in another project for a fun boat. You guys think it would be OK to use ?

Go for it. I've got some 8 tear old Airtronics 94358 servos that work well but I do not run my boats as often as most.

Depending on the transmitter/receiver system you are using, example, new style dsm transmitters/receivers only use 6 volt servos, most older servos have a 4.8v & 6.0 volt rating, but not all.

Go on the the Futaba home page and look up old/discontinued servos just to be sure.
