old fuel

good evening you guys, I've got a gallon of old fuel, mainly used stuff that I didn't want to put back in my main supply. How or what do you do to dispose of this stuff. Will oil recycling places take it? Can I burn it in our oil furnaces? Start my next camp fire with it?? hehehe!! Just wondering how you guys get rid of this stuff.

John, Once a year in the spring the county sets up a recycling center for old paint,oil,pesticides and any old gas or fuel. It's a big time hazmat operation. It's free. That's what I do with old nitro. Give the township or county a call. Years ago I would have killed weeds with it, but today hazmat is a big problem and I try to do my part. Ray B) B) B)

Its great for campfires, as long as you soak the wood with it, then light it, it burns blue, and dosent explode, but would refrain from pouring it on after the fire is started, or on smoldering wood, it burns quite rapidly as it vaporizes.

Dump it in your gas tank , won't hurt a thing !! Do it every year ! :lol:
