can i put a gas motor in a 41 in youngblood mono boat. Has a picco 80 in it now, but i can not get it started to much compression for 12 volt starter, tried a few turns out on the plug, still no luck. Do not want to bye new 24 volt starter. looking for other options ? thanks mike

if your starter is a SULLIVAN 12 volt starter, you CAN use 24 volts with it.

i have been using a 12 volt Sullivan starter on 24 volts now for about 12 yrs. still going strong.

YOU GOT TO USE 24 volts for the power.

not a sullivan , hobbico was going to let 7 year start but no he can start it so maybe will sell motor , try some thing smaller?
