Here is the Sport 12, 26" sport hydro. It has a 4.25" wide engine well. As you can see I am working on a new cowling plug. This one is for FE, and then I will modify the plug to make a nitro cowling afterwards. The pics you see are after 4 hours of work total. Weight so far is only 1 lb 5 oz with all the wood parts on the scale, so its gonna be a light one! Enjoy, Mike

Glenn, its 1/16" ply, just like the larger hulls so its plenty strong. The full wood kit with fe cowl will be $145 shipped and thw full wood kit with nitro one piece long length cowl will be $155 shipped. Thanks, Mike

Mike, any chance we can get it with 1/32 and 1/64 sheeting? The lighter the better with the .12 motors...I'm looking for a ready to run weight at 2 lbs. Also, any chance of getting a kit without the cowl?

Thanks, these look awesome!

Glenn, i can probably have the top decks done as 1/32", but i dont trust a frame up hull with 1/32" anywhere else. Just to thin without foam behind. I can offer the kit without cowling. Knock off $25. Thanks, Mike

Cool, thanks Mike. I will try to get some pictures of the motor/pipe today.

Glenn

Looks like using 1/32" on the sponson top decks will save a 1 ounce! I got the lics Glenn, once the heat breaks i will so some measuring. The heat is rediculous here. Mike

Well, The hull itself is built. I have had it done for a week, just not time to upload pics! With interior epoxied, and one coat of exterior epoxy the hull weights in at 1lb 9.8oz, which I think is really reasonable! Enjoy, MIke

Mike, that is really nice looking! What is the step on the bottom of the center section..I can't tell in the picture. Put me on the list for a kit (no cowling please).

Glenn

Johnny, I think Mike will do either (or would before he was working full time again) Mike offers some of the nicest kits around man. You wont be disappointed here. Will put that dumas kit your working on to shame 10 times over.

No dought this thing is double vintage.Buts it`s been a **** good learning tool,I`m going to finish it to pait. Then I`ll decide if it`s wall art or worthy of continuing.

Building is half the game. But sometimes you better of buying a prebuilt,Install hardware powerplant fuel and off. That`s cool too.But it`s got to burn fuel! LOL

I am considering building just this 26.5" hull for customers since I can work on it inside with my portable granite building board. Glenn, I will get up with you very soon. Mike

Hugh, its going to, in the end, be a 2s lipo setup, and I am thinking about the tenshock sc401 4600kv motor. At the present, and the fact I don't have the extra cash laying around, I am going to throw a 4s lipo setup with ul-1 motor just to get the hull tested! Weight and speed with either setup should be about the same. Hope that helps, Mike

Yeah Id like to see how that tenshock does. They seem quality B) .As always - nice craft!

Well, got the batteries and motor for the GP265. I have not had any time to work on this thing lately. Still have to make the cowling mold. I sure hope to get it done soon. 10000mah's, 2s power, 35c hyperion packs, Neu 1512 1d 4875kv, fightercat 2-8s 240 or castle hydra 240lv esc. As you can see there is plenty of room! Mike
