They all worked out great Jeff. The bait box can be left out as you can see space is at a premium in the radio box! Will be sending them off to Mark this week. Just have the plats to do for the adjustable front sponson boom.

Thanks

Brad

Brad,

Do you have PayPal? I would like to send you the money for shipping.

What propellers did you want again? X-457/3, X-460/3 reduced diameter,

X-460/2, need any X-457/2's?

Let Me Know Please?

Mark Sholund

Tested my proto KEP's FE-4S this past weekend at my boss's place (3674-2300kv motor). It was a bit too long waves tho. Its getting colder each day here also.

Took half the day off today and went (FE) boating at my boss's lake. Zero wind an sun, t-shirt weather (in the sun) - not a typical weather middle of October this side of the pond by any means.

And now my race buddy's boat was ready also! Still learning tho.

How'd things go please share!

The more you post the more I am wanting to get my butt in gear and build mine.

Pretty sure I should finally be able to set some time aside to actually do it this time!

Speaking of tshirts please let me know how I can get one of the NESTUFF or KEPs Tshirts you have I want a few of them!!!

Thanks! The boat itself is pretty much done and that is not the one in the pics btw. The test rigs we use accomodates dual paralell batteries an that makes the fe packaging a bit complicated (but the function is good as the load on the batts an batt connectors is half when hooking them up in paralell). The final design will be around a single battery on the left of the flex and the esc on the right. Motor to the front. The max space right now for that single 4S is 155 x 45/47 x 35/37 mm (for the open "P" boat). Please let me know if a need for any larger pack then that... As we're also testing to finalizing our national FE-4S rules package Ive also tested some smaller 36x60 motors in an idea if it would be good for our own limited class. But Im a bit sceptical about that... I think we'll keep the provisional package an make those permanent - max motor size of 40x74 and a max total weight of the batteries. Ill switch back to the Neu-Castle 1512 2650Kv an try and squeez in a testing again with that with some smooth water and the radar on hand before the water gets hard. Now that we understand the Castle logger a bit better also.
Ill check the freight rates regarding T's.

Work in progress. This is a sample of the KEP's FE-4S P-Limited version drawing. Yes, there will be two freebies - one P-Limited and one P (open).

Nice looking boat, Niklas!! I know that Mark is teating the .12's this weekend and I am curious as to how it turned out. Maybe he will post something tonight as how it went?

Brad,

Our weather is going away right now. The white stuff has already came

and gone. Hope to get out this weekend. Boats are ready to put to the test.

Thanks,

Looking forward to your test. My T3-12 (same proto drawings as yours) will not be tested until the spring though as time and focus has not been with me on that project... Also still have an T3-21 with an inline FX21 Zimmerman in it to be tested also.
Freebies to be published before this year is over though are:

- KEP's FE-4S (P-Limited)

- KEP's FE-4S (P-Open)

- KEP's T3-45 (for booth in-line and wrap-around 180 deg exhaust motor)

- KEP's T3-21 (for booth in-line and wrap-around 180 deg exhaust motors)

NO other KEP's freebies are planned at the moment...

Niklas and Brad,

We did a little testing on the T-3 12-Hydro yesterday.

It is going to be a good running little boat once I fix a few

little things on it. We had a little throttle servo problem that

is easy to fix. I adjusted the front sponson angles a little bit more

at the pond, and it started to really wake up that little motor.

I will change out the servo with a Savox and that should help.

Towards the end of testing we hit on a great little propeller so

I just have to make a few more of them and see how they work.

I want to thank Doug and David Murany for letting me come and interrupt

their Sunday afternoon yesterday, but it sure was a nice day once

again at the Murany's pond.

Thanks For Reading,

Mark Sholund

Brad,

The boat finished out at 2.3 pounds race ready.

If the throttle servo would of been better we could of taken

some video. I will get it ready again this week with better

servos and needle valve set up. It is showing some promise

I think, time will tell? The sponsons are tiny and very good

through the wind and water. You can tell it is a light friction

set up on the water when you turn the boat. It is too new to

tell anymore until I get it out again. The front sponsons adjusted

very easy and I have them all the way up for maximum angle of

attack. The boat was plowing water off the left sponson at real

slow speeds, but when it hit the pipe look out. The needle valve

set up was just manual yesterday, but it will be adjustable this week.

Super job on the build, fit, and finish for sure. Getting excited about

the next test session with a few small details already worked out yesterday

on the initial shakedown runs.

Thanks For Your Efforts,

Mark Sholund
