I've Had It With Rubber Bands!!!
I Can't Deal With Rotting Rubber Bands
I Have Some Promising Results
After Testing.Going To Do More Testing
With 65% and Extreme Heat
I Think I have come up with A Reliable And Long Lasting Band
Will Be Available in 4 Colors
What Should They Be??

I use hair bungees (yea I have long hair).. they are cheap and work great.. last a few years..

bahaaaaaaaaaa....

I use the hair bungees to hold in radio boxs and tanks....lol

And keep my LONG A@@ hair under control..lol

I have started to use a clear silicone to hold down the radio box.. when I want it out I pull a piece of braided music wire like a saw blade underneath.. have to clean it up a bit before putting back in.. but no rubber bands for me.
 
If you check around some of the helicopter websites you can still find the old Aerotrend brand fuel proof rubber bands. I found some in a hobby shop in Montana and bought all they had. Hair bungees are fuel proof too......

Nitro o rings don't rotten like rubber bands get them at hydraulic shops also work good for cowl keepers
