how much oil?

Speaking of fuel percentages ,

say we have some 65%nitro with 20%oil. We want to make it have 15% oil and the nitro content were not worried about .

I figured , with the gallon we would need to add 6.4(roughly) fl. ounces of methanol to the gallon to get 15%oil , and 1.6 fluid ounces to a quart to get to the 15% oil content .

Feel free to correct me , I'm married for 11 years and just say I'm use to it

I don't want to play any more..

Just buy some 12% oil car fuel, and mix it half and half with your 20% oil fuel...and you wind up with 16% oil...

Couldnt resists... 43 ounces to the gallon is what you would need to add...

128 ounces total

25.6 Ounces of oil 20/100 = x/ 128 x = 25.6

102.4 ounce NOT oil

25.6 / x = 15 / 100

15x = 2560

X = 170.66 ounces

We have 128 ounces now.. so 171 - 128 = 43 ounces to add

Checking it backwards now...

25.6 ounces of oil / 171 ounces = x / 100

171x = 2560

X = 15%

NITRO CONTENT WHEN YOU ARE DONE

65/100 = x / 128

100x = 8320

X = 83.2 ounces of nitro to start with

83.2 / 171 = x / 100

171x = 8320

X = 48.65 % nitro when you are done…
