DEPUE Its time for the 27th annual 2011 American Power Boat Associations Pro Nationals on Lake DePue.
Today, Thursday, there is sanctioned testing from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Friday, there is sanctioned testing from 9 to 11:30 a.m., followed by Championship Boat Racing, beginning at noon. The first half includes the C racing hydroplane, 175 hydroplane, and OSY 400 hydroplane, followed in the second half by 125 runabout, K pro hydroplane, C service runabout and 500 hydroplane.
On Saturday, there is sanctioned testing from 10 to 11:40 a.m., again followed by racing at noon. The first half includes C service runabout, 250 runabout, and 350 hydroplane, followed in the second half by 175 runabout, C service runabout, 700 hydroplane and 500 runabout.
On Sunday, sanctioned testing runs from 11 a.m. to noon, with the boat races beginning at 12:30 p.m. The first half includes 1100 runabout and 125 hydroplane, followed by 250 hydro, 350 runabout, 1100 hydro, and 500 hydroplane. The awards ceremony will be held 30 minutes after Sundays final heat.
There is a $3 admission fee for the races. There will be beer gardens, a carnival, and much music.
