Isn't alky fuel called FAI fuel. Seems some countries have banned nitro and they have built engines for FAI fuel.
Legal FAI fuel is 80% Methanol 20% Castor.

For our boat racing purposes I suppose Methanol fuel might be the proper term, as we can run any amount of oil we desire.

I ran 85% Methanol 15% castor last weekend.

Not that it's REALLY relevant,.. but I had a 67 mono, CMB Evo67, that would not get off the beach with less than 40%... long time ago though.. ran like a rocket on 60

And sometimes our nitro engines won't even get off the beach on 60%.

Proper tuning is needed for whatever fuel is used.

Just curious, what brand castor do you use?
