Ebay shovelnose, 28" anyone used one yet?

I have seen these shovelnose hydros on ebay for a while now...

has anyone run one, either nitro or brushless.....any input let me know. It seems like the kind of boat that could be bought on the cheap and with a little glass work blueprinting the ride surface...could be a decent runner.

I've got one, it's actually 26 3/4". It's light and the glass work isn't too bad. The tunnel is VERY wavey and the overall geometry is pretty poor. It's sitting on a shelf.

All that being said, it could be made to work with some sponson rework and some structure added to the inside of the tunnel. If I didn't have my Dark Horse molds, I'd rework it myself.

If you want a project, I'll sell it for $70 shipping in the lower 48.

BTW. Where are you in Oregon?
