When I received this old project the parts were not in place. I assume the tank will be placed ahead of the engine, which will place it about 1" fromthe carb. The line from the exgaust goes in one tube and then to the carb with the other.

But what height should the tank be placed? is it required to be so high in regards to the carb or engine?

Thanks.

I like to set the tank centerline level with the carb's fuel inlet...but if your tank is that close to the engine, and you're running an exhaust pressurized system, I don't think you will have any problems drawing fuel. In fact, you may notice the fuel siphoning into the crankcase when the tank is full and engine is off.
