Hi guys im new to the FE world and looking for some help /:<)

i would like to add a voltage reg / BEC to my boat.

what is a good BEC to use ???

my lhs has a Castle 10a bec in stock

it will be powered by a 800mah 2s lipo for the rx and servo only.

thanks and all help is appreciated

Don;

here ya go.

http://www.valuehobb...timate-bec.html

I use the top one on the Orange and White mono you saw yesterday. Selectable 5 or 6 volts output.

and here is another selection:

http://www.hobbypartz.com/ubec.html

value hobby is in Illinois and hobbypartz is in Calif.

Carl

p.s. the ESC is finished up. Will be in th email to you Tomorrow. It is programmed

for your TP motor. Plus 2 lengths of RED heat shrink.

cool

if memory serves you will have to add your own connector for the battery hook up.

yes

i have a bunch of deans so i was planning on adding them to the battery and bec :)

I think they should work fine with the little of a amp draw

I dont like bec's on FE setups . Dont ask me why. Id rather have an Li Ion 6 volt pack the weight is negligable. The reliability is not.

nothing to see go anywhere you like and just look for LI FE or Li ion reciever packs Daniels racing sells them here on IW

i was looking at some LI FE batterys but they are 6.6v will that work ???

as they have the rx plug on them :) i take it you just plug that into the rx and done

i will check out Daniels racing Thanks

Thanks hugh

i looked for that thread but did not find it thanks for the link and idea

Life batteries are Fine Don. remember, ever those charge up to over the 6.6vdc after a full charge.

I have 3 of the Hobbico 1300mah Life packs and each one charges to 7.8vdc using a

standard DVM and a Fluke Meter.

I like the addition of the volt. reg. to keep the voltage to 6vdc constant.

I've been using ParkBECs and Castle BECs for years in planes, helis, and boats. They work great and I have never had a problem with either. I prefer BECs over Rx packs as it is one less battery to charge for each boat, plane, or heli.

I run BEC's in every FE boat I own. My gas/nitro stuff all have LiFe packs.

Not everyone's preference, but I've had very good reliability.

Thank All

i just ordered two 850mah 6.6v LiFe batterys

and i have 3 bec's coming so i should be good eather way i go :D
