Thanks to the CMBC and the sponsors who supported this years Nitro Nats. As always it was great to see the familiar faces and meet a couple new racers. I gambled entering 8 classes and the odds of were in my favor winning 3 of them. I heard the odds were not to good for a few at the Hollywood Casino...... Surprisingly I was not expecting to win in 12 Hydro and 20 mono. My strongest classes are normally E and F hydro along with F mono but bad luck and strong competition held me back. Nevertheless I has some great heats and a lot of fun. See you guys at the next race.

Great times at that dinner with you Tyler. I hope to see you again soon.

This was my 1st time at the Cincinnati Pond and attending the Nitro Nationals. This site & event did not disappoint! All of the work and effort from so many created an atmosphere that was a lot of fun, and made it possible to witness & participate in some spectacular racing as well! Best of all was seeing everybody once again, plus it was awesome to finally meet in person so many racers whom I’ve learned from or chatted with here on IW these past few years. Thank you once again to the Cinci members, members from the other clubs, volunteers, CD’s, retrieve boat guys, & the ladies who made the race a huge success! I’m truly grateful to everyone involved.

What a fantastic event with fantastic competitors. The race site and the club members of CMBC are top of the class! Additionally, it was another great example of how strong our IMPBA membership is. There were countless individuals that stepped up and made this event a success. Starting with our IMPBA Nitro National Director, an IMPBA Past President, Countless other IMPBA members that agreed to share the CD'ing duties, and finally many others simply volunteering throughout the event! Thanks to everyone for their efforts, it didn't go unnoticed!

Water looked great & lake sites looks larger. But couldn't make it this year without my team mate Brian, hopefully next year. Glad everyone had a good time.#

Hey all, I'm finally getting around to doing a little more than post the scores. It was a busy few days once I got home and back to work and can finally catch my breath.

First of all, I want to say how humbled I am for being voted the William Lefeber award. When we set out on this, it was hinted that we would not have a Nitro Nationals this year and I really did not want to see that happen. This was a team effort. I managed all of the entries and kept track of everything that needed to be done prior to the race from home in Michigan. Mario and Brian were boots on the ground in Cincinatti to get the CD tower built, Trophies designed and made, T-shirts designed and made, etc etc. What an awesome shirt Mario drew up. You guys were awesome to work with. My wife Monica did a great job organizing the banquet and Mark and Lori Weber also helped in getting things set up for it.

Also, I enlisted help from many others at the race to referee races, pit boss and run the retrieve boat. Everyone was assigned classes to cover and pitched in to get it done. The race moved along very smoothly because of these people. A huge thank you to the following people:
Chris Rupley (Juice)
Tom Kelly
Bruce Jacobs
Brian Blazer
Teddy Dudley
Mike Schindler
Bert Dygert
Mark Weber
Mario Johnston
Mark Scott
Plus all the numerous people that got in the CD tower to help turn judge.

I want to thank my Dad for coming down and wrenching on boats for me while I tried stay ahead of the scores.

This goes to show, if we manage it well and everyone pitches in a little, we can get a lot done. Looking at the pictures Mario posted, I see a lot of smiles on everyone's face. That seemed to be the theme for the weekend. I got a lot of feedback of how fun the event was. I am glad everyone seemed to enjoy the event, that makes all the work that went into organizing it worthwhile.

Thanks again everyone!!!

Oh yea, Having Jeff Ayler (H1 announcer) call the final in scale was awesome. Check the video on Facebook. It was cool. We had IMPBA CD's calling the start and penalties, he just announced.
