"2011 NAMBA FE Nationals" Hosted by: The Wave Blasters of Florida

Sonsored by: Offshore Electrics & Rum Runner Racing / Hobbies

Hello FE Racers,

The 2011 NMBA FE Nationals registration is now open !

The link is;

http://WWW.RCRacingEvents.com

You will find it easy to sign up, just click on the "On-Line Race Entry" tab.

Then click on the "2011 NAMBA FE Nationals" sign up.

You can make your payment immediately via pay-pal thru this site,

or mail in your payment after you have completed the on-line entry information requested.

The early registration fee is $11 and $9 per class until March 15th.

After March 15th it will go to the normal registration fee of $15 and $10 per class.

Our thinking is to encourage as many early sign-ups as possible to start the snowball effect. We do realize plans can change, so to relieve any reservations about committing early, we will make refunds on all cancellations received prior to May 25th.

If there are any classes that you do not see listed that you believe there would be enough to make a class please contact us as we are open to all class ideas.

Contact myself or Terry Cowger Sr. for more info.

I have a question?

It is not in the flier -- (size of race course)

I have heard that this race will be on a 1/8 course??

Could you tell us officially what size the course will be??

Larry

Why are there no tunnels P limited or P or S/T ,will they have to run against the HYDROs. Im new to this help me out. Thanks Dick Loeb

P-limited tunnel is often called OPC as mentioned above, or just P-spec tunnel. The other power level classes for tunnels don't usually have enough competitors to warrant a class at the Nats.

The P-limited (Spec) classes are the most popular...

  •
  • P-limited Sport hydro - Also called "LSH"
  • P-limited hydro - Also called Spec Rigger
  • OPC - Also called P-limited/spec tunnel
  • P-limited Offshore - Also called LSO.

The names have evolved a bit over the years because of the move from NiMhs to lipos and "spec" brushless motors.

I am sure Ken will make the larger tunnel classes available if enought people will run in them.

Hey Jeff, Larry, Sean, & Ray,

Thanks for the help on answering these questions. I truely appreciate it.

We will run anything that there are enough entries to make a class.

We never gave it much thought to other tunnel classes, but again if there is enough interest....

The schedule could also be altered if we had to, but we would have to have a very good reason.

Hope this helps,

Ken

Ken

OK it will be on a 1/8 mile course.

How many laps will a heat be??

Records show that it is 5 laps = 5/8 of a mile.

Or will it be 8 laps for a 1 mile distance??

Hey Larry,

The heats will be 1 mile per NAMBA rules......so 8 laps each.

We really have a fun course, and the drivers stand will be

elevated above our normal great vantage point. Should be the

easiest of any Nats course that I have been to to drive.

This will make for a lot of close racing action.

Really hope that you can make it.

Hey Racers,

This is just a reminder that the early sign-up discount ends March 15th.

For those that know they are attending help us get this snow ball rolling,

Soon !

Thanks,

Ken :D

Hey Racers,

We did secure a very good rate on the nearby Best Western !

It will be $59.00 per night.

You should mention the "FE Nationals Hosted by the Wave Blasters"

to get this rate.

Their phone number is 772-878-7600

They are located at:

7900 S US Highway 1 · Port Saint Lucie, Florida

This hotel is about 5 minutes drive from the pond site.

It is a very nice hotel, all small suites, with a nice pool area.

Not the Ritz-Carlton but very nice.

Hope this helps,

Ken :D

Final Reminder the "Early Entry Discount Ends March 15th !

You have heard my spiel before.

So help us and yourself out, enter by tomorrow and save !!

We now have "16 Racers and 103 Boats"

20 Racers / 120 Boats !!

Well guys, it looks like we are headed to a very well attended 2011 Nat's.

Although we never know for sure who is coming until they all sign up,

it does appear that we are off to a pretty fast start.

Let's keep those sign-ups coming as this snow-ball grows ever larger.

Looks good for Me Time RC (the production company) to attend and have a

live internet feed for the entire event. If you have never attended a race that

they were a part of you are really missing a great feature. Apart from the live

racing action, they give a candid interviews to each heat winner as well as

various other fun and informative live spots. This really puts our hobby on a

higher platform, or at least feels that way when you are there.

So lets get to that next plateau of 30 racers and 200 boats. That may get those

racers still unsure if they are coming to get off the fence and sign up also.

Thanks to all of you that have signed up early so far,

the Wave Blasters really appreciate your help and commitment.

Thanks Again,

Ken :D

"24 Racers / 141 Boats" and counting !

Looks like a race you won't want to miss.

Sign up now at:

http://www.RCRacingEvents.com

Come down and enjoy our great weather and

beautiful pond site.

Hope to see you there,

Ken :D
