As I'm not going to be racing, would a skeg on each side of my Lap Cat III be to any benefit?

Am I suppossed to set the CG on a tunnel? Ya'll don't laugh at my newbie question. I'm thinking you don't as it has an outboard engine and getting up on plane with a tunnel basically means getting the hull out of the water. But.....Better to ask than wonder.

Should there be any play in the prop shaft assembly? My 67 K&B has some and doesnt seem right. You don't run a sloppy prop shaft on an inboards strut so why would there be on an outboard unless it's worn.....my thinking anyway.

Do you sharpen the bottom of the lower unit like the bottom of a turn fin or leave it square like the back of a rudder? Do you round the bottom front corner like on a rudder or leave it square-edged? I've already got the leading edge razor sharp but these other aspects have me wondering...
