Keeping in mind I live on an Island thats not 5 square miles and surrounded by water

I love my hot link on the MAC- pops up the weather station 150yards from my back door at the airport-

talk about a fancy thermometer to use......

I hope Florida warms up by mid February when I'll be down with the family.

I thought we have global warming. Sounds like global freezing to me. Shows hoe out of touch some of our politions really are.

Not to sure Paul

I watched a very interesting show on the descovery channel the other day about how fast the Polar Ice caps are melting , very scary stuff.

Ice that they thought would take a thousand years to melt has dissapeared in just a few short years.

Thinngs are changing for sure.

who sponsored that show, tim? exxon or greenpeace  ? not making lite of your post, but there seems to be a huge difference of opinion on global warming.........& some folks will pay huge amounts to get their opinion out in front of the public. what you leave in & what you leave out of these "documentaries" makes a lot of matter, on both sides of the coin. truth is needed, but if both sides leave out any of it, it is biased & USELESS. not taking sides, just saying be careful of the "facts".

You what guys I do belive that there are some changes in our enviorment but I am not so sure that co2 is to blame. My reason for this is if you were to boil water would waving a hair dryier over the water boil it. no but if you were to put an imersion device in the water this would cause the water to boil. you see at the moment there are a recorld number of under sea Volcanoes in the ring of fire. I f ther is some other reason for the changes in the enviorment I would love to hear about it but please governments of the world respect my intelegence and give me all the facts and let me make an informed decission of my own.

paul, the government is never going to give you ALL THE FACTS. if they did, you & i could make informed decisions, & see how full of crap most of our leaders really are. a well informed public is exactly what they fear, it makes us much harder to control!!!!

I am a huge skeptic when it comes to global warming and the political crap that surrounds it but if there was an ounce of truth in that show then there is cause for concern.

What I am skeptical about is what is really causing it.

Is this just a natural progresion in the life of our planet or is this a man made problem that needs to be addressed.

If it is created by man then we are destined to fail because while certain countries are trying to do thier part other countries are profiting by having poor enviromental policies and that will not change, remember being enviromentally friendly is not cheap.

And that is what I believe is the true downfall of the North American economy.

Here here, You are so correct it is not funny. Democratic governments are only as democratic as they want us to be.

Central and Southern Florida beware......

Cold snap is producing not rain, or snow, but IGUANA SHOWERS.

Dozens of the critters are dropping out of trees, and going into a "suspended animation" due to the cold. They are alive, and hopefully will resume when temps crawl up over the 40 F mark.

Happened back in 2008, and again now. That would be an interesting 911 call.

911..What is your emergency?

My husband got knocked out in the yard by a Frozen Iguana..

Maam, are you currently on any Medication?

THWOP!

Hello? Hello?

Look out MIC, there everywhere... :D

Randy came home from work the other day there was probably six of them in the road.

Randy,

If I find popsicle Iguana he'll warm up real quick in the pot of boiling water I throw him in. Those buggers crap on my dock and in the yard and of course the dogs think it's perfume to roll in. Bagged 4 this summer with my slingshot.

Global warming hmmm. This planet is a moltem rock in space and the surface keeps cycling hot and cold in the process. Could be an "ice age" in 20 years or palm trees in Antarctica and the ants on the surface can't change destiny or do much about mother nature. We only get to polute the air we breath and water we drink. The rest will just someday be history. That and kill those **** iguanas.

We are always told something different each decade or so. The governments want us to worry about something other than them. The last real big one was the y2k bug and we all spent millions on new computers printers ect so as we could continue trading at our businesses come the 1st January 2000. What a rip off that was. Just think ofthe money the governments around the world made from the taxes collected from the saje of all the new computers.
