I second you Mike!

That was one of the best races I have attended in a long time. Just to let you know that if anyone had been looking for Jack, Randy or me during the races we could have been found at the

"Green Iquana ". A tremendous Club, good racing and good food in that order. What more could we ask for. Thanks TAMPA BAY MODEL BOAT CLUB for a wonderful weekend. Perry

Perry, it was a pleasure to meet you and watch you run, on behalf of the Tampa guys, glad you enjoyed the event :D Rod and all the crew did a bang up job, cant wait to see some pictures posted. I was so busy I never got my camera out of the bag ;)

Ron-Mary, any idea when we will get to see some of the pictures from the event? Not rushing, just wondering. Thanks :)

Hi Guys......I think there are some things that need to be "cleared up" here with regard to the statement made by FLASCALEBOATER in post # 35 and the very negative comments that were subsequently made regarding the same issue. To set the record straight, Dan apologized to you Rick as they were taking both of the damaged scales out of the pickup boat, but you were very angry (as anyone would be), but you were so busy cussing about the incident that you didn't hear him....After several negative comments were made in response to what you said in post #35, Dan realizing that you had not "heard" him at the race sent you THREE separate E-Mails, again apologizing for the incident. All of the E-Mails were returned due to a problem either with your Internet Server, or your computer, I have copies of those E-Mails if you would like to see them. Many times over the years, I have heard it said that if you didn't want your boats damaged, don't race them, and many times it has also been said that apologies are not necessary in racing. I myself hit only one dead boat in over ten years of racing, and I ALWAYS apologize when I do something stupid, as does Dan. It also needs to be said that your boat was repaired and back out racing after the incident, Dan's damage was so extensive that his weekend at the Nats ended right there! In that particular heat, Steve was in front, and Dan in second place, and he went to the inside to try to "gain ground" on Steve, and your boat was totally obscured by Steve's roostertail.........so the man apologized not once, but four times to making the same dumb mistake all of us have made at times......I don't think the various remarks that were made are justified....unless there are some "perfect" people out there.

I would like to address the totally unacceptable comments made regarding this same issue by DASBOATMAN. To Promote or advocate DELIBERATELY hitting or damaging someone else's boat, I have this to say: Attitudes like that have literally driven many fine model boaters out of the sport, and also caused the demise of many model and full size clubs and organizations. It seems to me that you are the same individual that made a similar threatening remark to me at a race a few years ago that went something like this: You'd better keep that $$##@@&&** scale boat of yours out of the way, or I'll run over it"! Later, after I won the consolation heat in scale, your racing "partner" deliberately swerved over at least three lanes when we were coming up for the start in the scale final, and blew my boat over backward right in front of the judges stand, then walked around in the pits boasting how he "took me out" so he didn't have to deal with me. Gee, I wonder if the reasoning for that ridiculous act could have been the fact that my boat was faster and a threat? Conveniently none of the officials called or (chose not to see) a thing. To you I'll say get a life....but please NOT in model boating! To the moderator of this really great forum, I would like to say this...Please get this guy off here..he makes me sick !

Propwalker.

Stand up and be recognized. I would have completely missed your "Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda"Post, responding to Post #35, when you waited so long to express your Opinion. Get a boat into the water, Art, and race in present History. CHEERS !!! Bob Johnson

Hi Fellow District 3 Scale Drivers. This seems to me to be water in the "roostertail". A lap or three behind us. Let's put this behind us and move ahead. Why wash our dirty linen in front of the entire country? By and large we have a tremendous group of scale guys in our District. Our boats are so competative this year that, with the exception of Uncle Jack, you really can't predict who will win a particular heat or race. In my opinion that is great for our sport and our class. But with that said things do happen. I would like to suggest that we act like the gentlemen that we are and move forward. Is anyone else in agreement? Perry

Completely agree with you Perry, I have moved on! Have raced since the incident, with minor adjustments being made to the boat, no big deal. Yes my boat got put back together at the NATS with help from alot of great people! Ready for Brandon, sorry you won't be there, you will be missed for the weekend.

The only thing I would like to know, who is"PROPWALKER" And why it took over a month for this to Boil" over. And yes PROPWALKER I would like to see the E-Mails you refer to.

Hey mike you going to make it to the Brandon race ?? Andy

Good job Rick and Mike! Let's see who else steps up to the plate.

I'm really sorry I can't make it to Brandon. Boy do I feel badly when I can't make a race. But health must come first. Have another appointment at the Mayo Clinic so the boat stays home SAFELY in my garage.

Perry

Thats me Rick. Think that answers your question also Mike ;) I dont think we have met yet. I was just wondering cause you and Donny are having a pretty good points battle in .40 mono. Man I wish I had my new boat earlier in the year, I would love to think I could be right there with you guys. B)

Hi again guys.....I have nothing to hide, and only deal in truths and realities. My name is Art Apruzzese, NAMBA 544, and as most of you know, I was pitting for Dan at the NAMBA Nats in Fort Lauderdale. I have known Dan for 25 years, and I have a question to ask. What has this man done to any of you to deserve the treatment he has gotten particularly in the last year? He did something dumb by hitting a "dead" boat BUT he quickly owned up to that by attempting to apologize several times over I might add. In an incident like that, we all beat ourselves up worse than anyone else could ever do.....AND Dan is no exception. I was about thirty feet away from the pickup boat when Dan tried to apologize, then he came back to the tent, and the first thing out of his mouth was geez Art I tried to apologize but he was so--------- off he didn't hear me. The only other thing that Dan has done is have a remarkably fast boat......is that wrong? If it is then everyone had better get used to the idea. I would like to bring attention to the fact that I did not mention anyone's name on my previous post other than Dan's, only then because the remarks being made about him were offensive. Rick I will try to E-mail Dan's E-Mails to you, and if that doesn't work, I will print them out and send them to you in the mail. As for DASBOATMAN, I would like to think that for many years, we were very good friends, but the remark you made to me at Melbourne several years ago and the more recent suggestion that someone should take one of your WOF boats and cut Dan's epoxy hull in three separate pieces are unacceptable to me and I would like to think to most other model boaters as well. Now what do you say that we put aside all the "little kid" stuff , start communicating like grown men and, as Perry said move forward with the sport/hobby that we all love........Yours Truly, Art Apruzzese NAMBA 544 E-Mail [email protected]. Rick,I'm not sure of your E-Mail address.....By the way, I think Dan tried two different ones.

Art, Dan:

You know I have nothing against either of you, Art I have done nothing but encourage you to get a boat back on the water, everytime I see you!

Dan, if in deed, you did try to apolagize, I am sorry, I did not hear you, yes I was irritated, as would any one else, under the circumstance.

And yes I did get the one PM you sent me, but it kinda lost it's sincerity, since it was 3-4 weeks after the incident had happened!

Accepted, move on!

As I said in an earlier post, this incident is behind me, it is over and done with, I have moved on.

I just wanted to know who it was that was "stirring the S#@%T pot" so long after the incident had happened.

Drew2, Andy:

Will hopefully see you in Brandon, lets introduce ourselves next time we meet.

Rick Bellinger
