Thought I would update you all on what is going on at Wire Drive Central...on XXX lake in nowhere USA.

Special thanks to my Extreme (I can't go fast enough) beta tester for putting his rigs thru brutal power just so the rest of us can learn... I vowed not to give his name up before racing season.

We have learned that after a dozen or so runs with .078 wire on 32 cells, BIG BL motor on a gear box, big bad props in Big Mono hulls--- we are seeing slight corkscrewing on the wire. Nothing breaking and certainly not the connection at the stub and wire.

By corkscrewing I mean if you put a mark at the motor end and one at the stub in both line up but after enough torque and pressure the two markes begin to not line up...may never brerak or cause a problem...Run it in a lighter hull or hydro and probably not going to happen.

So here is where we are:

.062 Wire drive = 6-16 cells

.078 Wire = 16-24 cells

.093 Wire = 24-32 cells --- Testing soon but I say no way will it corkscrew.
