There is a used basically turnkey Steve Muck Miss US that is for sale in District 9 that will be posted soon. I spoke with the guy that wants to sell it tonight. All you need is a receiver and it's ready to go. It has a used Picco P67 in it. He's sending me the info to post. As soon I get it I'll post the link.anybody out there have a used scale boat hull only they would like to sell
No it doesn't.
Don needs another scale wait who am I to say a word lolNo it doesn't.
I have a 1994 Miss Budweiser T-3. It was originally built in 1998 and has raced well for the past several years. It has won several races in RCU and is complete and ready to race.anybody out there have a used scale boat hull only they would like to sell
way too much money for your stuff i can build them new for less that that.
I built a new scale last year $2000.00 plus and all my labor for free. Maybe you can throw a racer together cheaper but detail cost money and lots of time. Start with a DPS hull $600.00 Motor $450.00 Radio gear $300. fuel tank and mixture control $125.00 hardware $150.00 Cockpit details $125.00 pipe and props $200.00 now pay someone to paint it where are you now my friend.........Mikeyway too much money for your stuff i can build them new for less that that.
I think you should build a few then!! Sounds like there is a market out there!! Quality costs money man!!
Dan
No offense meant but if the paint is in decent shape in that you could just add pieces & go why wouldn't it be? :blink:get the firing squad out you cant tell me that used scale hull without any hardware is anywhere near worth $600.00.
Not being mean here, just crunchin' numbers...............i dont think i should have to pay full price for a used item no matter what it is.
nice boats Harry think you might come through Evansville again? your welcome at our races any time....MikeIt doesn't bother me if he wants to buy my boat or not. I know you can get other boats for less money, but just for fun sake here is what it cost for this hull
Hull from Fritz $575 plus two years wait.
Picco Engine $330 when new, now probably worth $200
Lee Robertson carb adapter $50
OS Max 9B carb $85
Hardware, engine mount, strut, rudder, stuffing box, cable, skid fin $ 150
Muck Pipe $65
Header, stainless steel $50
Sikkens paint, just for the paint, no labor $335
Graphics $225, I know that seems high but I get them from the same people who do the real boat.
Futaba 3PM radio $100
JR 250 oz servos (2) $240
Custom wing mounts $50
Misc hardware, linkage etc $100
Balanced and tested race prop $45
So that is $2,400 with no labor for anything. I paid someone $300 to paint the boat and have taken advanatge of countless hours of Lee Robertson, Don Mock and Gary Jensen's time to build the boat and get it trimmed out as a competitive race boat.
These people are the best in the business and believe me, their time is well worth something.
So I don't feel that my price is way out of line, you get what you pay for.
If you don't want to pay it, I am sure you can find a cheaper boat somewhere else. Can you find a better deal? I guess that is a different question.
I did post some pictures in case you want to see the boat. Unfortunately, the wings are not on the boat in the pics as I sent them to the paint shop to help with the new boat.
But just for your curiousity.
