Stuffing Box

I'm fitting the stuffing box into my monohull and trying to decide if its better to use the teflon lining or go without it.

Some advise from members would be great.

Sorry guys I've just read Marks post on teflon liners

I guess the short answer is dont.

i use teflon in my gas, but not in my nitro

If you go with the teflon liner, make SURE you put an S bend in the stuffing box. This will stop the teflon from spinning, I run both set ups. In my 67 coyote I've run teflon for five years without changing it, still going strong.
