Hey Glenn,

I spent 22 1/2 years in the US Navy riding submarines. Reported to my first boat as a PO3, retired as a Mustang Navy Lt. I received my share of CaCa falling from above. I remember the last turd falling from an O-6's arse, this one in the form of the spoken word. He informed me that he was cancelling a set of orders I had fought hard to get for my next duty station, and he was going to keep me at my present JOB for another year.

I strolled back to my desk, took out my retirement request paper work and threw those at him saying something along the line " You won't be able to disapprove these you *&^%$#@!!! *&((^%$#@!^^$#@ - now will you" did a 180 and left for the day. Retired 30 May 1990, and never looked back.

RB,

Winter Nats to race with 5 or 6 Scale boats again??? Are you out of your Coastie mind? Have the Imron fumes got to you??? I think the numbers for Scale and Sport 40 boats will be a LOT better at Spring Nats, and at the 2014 Kohlmeyer Classic in Evansville, IN. If you and Chris go to the June, Mini Gold Cup, Evansville race - - - you'd best get down on your hands and knees and start performing for the additional days off starting NOW !!!!!

Ya Know,,, You may be right!

I think Andy & crew may have to meet me & maybe a couple of others at the Kems BIG Pond for the scale "Pass Off" and shake down...

Will check with Kem & Julie to see if thats acceptable..

BINGO!!!

Now you're using you head. If Andy wants to do a few select races with the M & P -- Spring Nats will be the first decent Scale boat race, sure the Sam Hill won't be the Winter Nats.

Kem's for turn over and a check ride sounds like a Great idea. After all -- possession is at least half the Law. Har, Har!!!

Andy,There's good news, and there's bad news............................................. Cheers!!! Bob

:) Bob when I was about to get out of high school they were drafting a LOT of people for Viet Nam. A good friend was worried about toting a rifle around the jungle and talked me into taking the Navy entrance exams with him-so we took the test and a short while later a man said "great news" both of you scored really high and we can get in our six year Nuclear program. I told him do not stand between me and the door- cause I'm leaving now  . AS far as Rick being a Coastie- I've only known two before- one almost lost his life fighting drug runners the other spent his time on a ice breaker  .I got drafted into the army and was a payroll specialist- NOBODY messes with someone who has access to their payroll records :D .

That and maybe the WTC- Just cause I have have PTW- post tunnel whooped :p

Kems is good with me- I will have Randy Prius drive me up, you just say the word and keep the pics coming coasty :D :D :D

Hey Andy,

Start promoting my Friend. Winter Nats has not had very good numbers the last number of years. I last attended in 2009 but don't recall how many entries they had.

I plan on attending Spring Nats and Kohlmeyer Classic in 2014. Considering Hobart race. There were 25 Scale and 25 Sport 40s entered at the Evansville race. Best numbers I've seen since we left SOCAL in 96.

Here is a pic of the Scale boats entered for 1995 San Diego Muncey race. CHEERS !!! Bob

Hey Glenn,

While I served on nuclear powered submarines, I wasn't an engineer. I was more on the Seek and Destroy/Urban Renewal end of things.

I joined the Navy after getting a Draft notice and seeing the Army Recruiter. He thought it would be good for me to Fly in the Army. I asked: "Fixed or Rotary". Rotary he says. The life expectancy of a helo pilot in Nam was right at two weeks in June of 1968. I ran to the Navy recruiter and signed up for Advanced Electronics. My Lottery number was 7 shortly after I joined the Navy. I was meant to be there and enjoyed it.

I have only know two Coasties in my life. One was a good Friend when I lived in Miami. The other is RB and has been a GREAT Friend, since we first met in 1989 at the 1989 NAMBA Nats in Camarillo. We have exchanged many Navy/USCG bomblets with each other over the years but have remained closer to Brothers than Friends. CHEERS !!! Bob

Just get back to painting Coastie- your used to it

Bob Im gonna be signed up for the WN'S as soon as entries open- ;)

So who else wants to come get some

Hey Andy,

No doubt you know your way out of Florida. When I left in 2003, I looked over my shoulder and for the first time didn't feel like I was leaving home. We have been here in La Porte for 10 years now - guess it has now become home.

Start eating your Wheaties - it the boat looks and runs well, you may have to chase RB through the hills and valleys of North Georgia to assume custody of the M & P.

Naaa, as I recall he had his U-4 painted as M&P, and when Don painted his, now yours, as M&P, RB changed the Dawg to that Sh*t Brindle brooooown and orange KWWW.

M& P is my favorite 7704 livery. Live Long and Prosper!!!

Good on you Andy:

From what the man says , it runs well- The looks well part is on HIM

We are meeting at Kems when its done, join in ;)

Hey Andy,

And "Bling" is what he does best - Har, Har !!! I see 10 Scale and 5 Sport 40s entered for Winter Nats, You'll need to run the heck out of the M&P to get used to it, rather than just let it sit there and look good. Last I heard the white base coat was on and Himself was going to SOWEGA for the weekend.

That would be right at an 1800 mile run for a short test session - - I think I'll Pass. I'm planning on Atlanta for Spring Nats in April as my next trip East. I'm going to stay here in Tejas and enjoy the Fall and Winter. then do my best to be outta here for the Long, HOT, humid summer - not fit for man, Beast or Fat Swedes. CHEERS !!! Bob

LMAO - he told me no more pics till I pick it up- bastage !!!

For some reason I was thinking your where out our way more Bob-not Tx

The only boat I'm gonna run up till the W/N'S will be the M&P besides the new to me 40 Tunnel. -

I need wheel time so we can be "friends" ;)

Looks like the Space Coast gang is in- so I have my work cut out for me . At least there will be ONE correct M&P in the house

Andy, when Rick is done with your M&P, you will KNOW that you will have a boat that is RIGHT....inside &out! His workmanship is simply second to NONE! I still look at my MH and say WOW! I hope you run that boat at the Winternats! Its just a neat race to run a Scale hydro!Win, lose, or draw, its makes for a great memory!!

Bill, You rocked it that year at the ski lake my friend , I'm glad I was there to see it. ;)

RRRick text me a shot this am after he shot the white on the bottom of the hull and cowl.

He said he was gonna try and get all the white shot today-

I cant wait, your boat looks awesome Bill , Cant wait to drool on mine ;)

Hey Andy,

I thought I saw a cloud of blue to my East yesterday. When I spoke with him - he was clearing out the garage, getting ready. That probably took most of the day!!! You're rapidly running out of excuses, Andy - - get ready.

Robert,

That is my favorite MHR 7704 paint scheme. Wait until you see it when it's finished. The man does good work. Were he closer - I'd build them & he'd paint 'em. As it is - he forces me to paint my own - No Respect. Har, Har !!!
