rudder for gas scale

Building the 8255 gas scale and would like to know what rudder everyone is using. How long is the rudder extension? Was thinking 1 5/8 was back far enough. Was looking at the one's from MTC. Nice scale looking piece but only a single water pickup. One is only 3/4 " back from the transom , the other is around 2 1/2 ".

you need the dual water pick up i recommend accutech hardware SRA-100 and their large dia. fuel tubing for water pickup
