Glad you are blaming the designer and not the builder  Just think, if the motor is started backwards, the boat will still run!!!

Gene,

Just looked at your gallery.. Looks like you removed some wood in front of the radio box. Is that so you can move the water box  further up???

Hey Mark,

Well I have been known to take out a piece of leading edge before.......

Nah, Must be tha camera angle, Havent changed a thing on the box or position so far.

Got the sponson layout done and been sidetracked with a Buds project cleaning out his shop.

Must have been the angle or my eyes need help..

Can't wait to hear how your's and the others run...

OB nut,

very informitive thread. i was looking at your foam cutter and was thinking of making one the size that you have because it would be more convenient to use than the large one that i have. what would recommend for power using .016 nich wire and 8" width.

thanks

chris

Chris, not certain what wire on mine, power is 500ma output. This is the not the original power source. Believe the original one was hotter. Others are using a train transformer which has variable power output. Mine is 8" and is a good starting point. If doing a lot of small parts, only really need to be a bit wider than the part being cut.

Hey Mark, I have the "sealed surface" sanded down now and U could

cut steak with the sponson edge. I noticed great care was taken in

keeping the sponson edge "true",,thanks for that.

I found it easier to open up the "opening" for my existing rx box

rather than transfering everything into the box you provided.

Even though my existing Dumas cowl fit, I find the Dumas cowl

style a little "tired" these days. May have to do a "one-off" job

there,,not sure yet.

Overall, the new "29" looks "Heaps" better than the "30" that it replaced.

Having to deal with a new cowl design is gunna set me back a few though :(

Jerry

Jerry,

Glad you like the product. A TS2 cowl will fit on the 29" boat, just needs a bit of trimming to match the centersection top surface.
