So.... I think we all agree the OS throttle cable mount is about the best little mount for out uses.. but.. the cable housing can still slip some times when tightened in place.
Here is what I do..
I will start with a new one but you can use the one you have now.
Remove the top keeper and other screws.
Using a 1/16" drill bit drill all the way through the center of the pad
Take a 1/4" long #2 screw and run it up though the hole from the bottom up
Just run the screw in so the very tip sticks though the hole
Re-install the mount and hook up like you would normally.
The little point will keep the cable from slipping back and forth in the mount.
