Mike,

Correct as near as makes no difference! ;D You could use 656.17, but 656 is well and truley close enough considering the accuracy of measure of the other factors! 8)

Now you just need the pitch guage...

Nitrocrazed racing: How fast can you stop....

Well if you know the speed and you know your revs then you could go

Pitch"= (kph X 656)/rpm

Which would give you your working pitch, then go

RPM= (kph X 656)/pitch

and it would let you know what RPM you need to get your engine to for a given prop to reach your desired speed?

Where's my Dremel?

Mike,

I consider the engine as a fixed parameter. It makes it's best power in a certain range. I like to alter the pitch and load of the props to get it in that range. The pitch guage has transformed how I think about props... ;D

Nitrocrazed racing: Where's the pliers and linisher...

Yeah I can see that now too.

Gene you have never had to pay Ian for a prop though! ;)

Just how much is a prop worth that someone doesn't want to sell???
