I thought he was asking for first bench runs.. I will run a few tanks on the bench first.. it's late in the season,.. if the water is cold be careful that you do not over cool a new motor.. very hard on rods.. let it be very rich and hot for the first few tanks,.. using the fuel as cooling really. so rich that holding it wide open makes the boat just plane out,.. no more.. we have talked about this here so many times. I have learned that my motors last ALOT longer when I break in like this.. first 5-6 tanks should be blubbery rich, and hot,.. not like overheating hot.. but maybe 200-220f. it has worked very well for me and NR also recommends the hot / rich method..
